CHAPTER NINETEEN
I gazed up the step leading to the magnificent house, my limbs seemingly frozen in place. Why had I thought that I finally found a home for me and my son? Why had the idea of my son growing with both his mother and father clouded my judgement to the point I forgot to actually think through my decision? I felt a warm hand close over the back of my palm, making me quickly turn my gaze to find Kyle looking at me with warm eyes.
“I can walk you to the house,” he offered, shrugging a bit.
