Chan's POV
We finished our meal an hour ago, and now I'm smoking on the balcony with James. I enjoy spending time with my pals because I feel protected when I'm with them.
"Are you ready for the blind date, bro?" I stated and threw my cigarette.
"Press your foot on the cigarette." James replied while looking at the cigarette I threw.
"Apologies. I'd forgotten about it." I chuckled.
I stomped on it to ensure the flame was quenched.
"So, what exactly was I saying?" I asked James.
"About the blind date." He said in monotone.
"Yeah, about that. Are you all set?" I asked him once further.
"To tell you the truth, I'm still not ready. I don't really need a girl in my life right now, I simply want to focus on myself." He stated.
"Does it have anything to do with your ex?" I asked him without looking him in the eyes.
"Come on, bro! That was almost two years ago! Moreover— "He started saying, but I interrupted him.
"Bro! It's been two years, and you still don't seem to have moved on from her. We didn't even get the chance to meet her. You just told us her name's sky." I spoke it without pausing for a second.
"I've already moved on from her, bro. I'm sorry for not letting you guys meet her. I honestly felt like I needed to be sure it was actually her who I was meant to, before I let y'all meet her at the moment. Sorry bro, just gotta make sure she's the one." James murmured with a sigh.
"You do have a valid point. But the idea is, go out with the ladies. Your ex, whoever she is, isn't the only girl in this world. Give dating a shot !" I remarked.
"Yeah, whatever. So w hen will the blind date take place?" He asked me out of curiosity.
"I'm not certain. I don't know a lot of girls, so I'll probably ask Sam, Max, and Jas for help." I responded.
"What about you?" He asked.
"What about me?" I reacted with a question.
""When will you start dating girls?" He asked as he lights up another cigarette.
"Me?" I chuckled and took a pause.
"I'm not sure, bro. I'm still working on opening my own museum; it's the only way I can satisfy my family." I stated.
"But, they're already satisfied with you." He remarked while raising one of his brows.
"Yes, I am aware. But I don't think it's enough. I turned down a really big deal, I turned down what they offered me about our company. The museum is the only way I can express them my gratitude for letting me pursue my passion." I said, looking down.
"Keep your chin up, man. You've got this." James stated as he handed me another cigarette.
"Stop smoking, bro, and let's go inside," I muttered and declined the stick of his cigarette.
"You get to go first. I'm just going to finish this." He stated.
"All right, I'll see you inside." I replied and left him at the balcony.
When I entered the bar, I spotted the squad and DJ Lucas making the second round of drinks. We drank mild cocktails earlier, so it didn't really hit us on the spot, but now they're preparing for the heavy ones.I approached Sam and Max because they're not doing a thing. They're just watching their lovers prepare for the drinks.
"Girls, I need your help." I stated.
"Need help for what?" Sam asked.
"I'm talking about James' blind date." I stated.
"We're in." Max said and slammed her hands against the table.
"So, what's the plan?" S am questioned.
"Not about the plan. I need your help to find a girl "I stated.
"The timing is perfect! A week ago, we met two new girls in the mall! And we're in contact !" Max exclaimed with excitement.
"So who's who?" I asked.
"Nicole's the name of the girl who will be James' blind date partner." Sam expressed her thoughts.
"Wait a minute, Nicole?" Max interrupted with a question.
"They are the same age," Says Sam.
"Woah! You're right! ." Max stated.
"So what's the other girl's name?" I muttered in a question.
"Why? Are you interested?" Sam teased.
"Wtf. No way!" I said in disgust.
"Really, huh?" Max confronted me as well.
"I'm sure you're aware that I'm quite busy. I'm sorry, but I don't have time for that." I stated in a sarcastic manner.
"Whatever. The other girl's name is Madisson , and she's the age as you." Sam replied.
"So, invite both of them. This is where the blind date will take place. The table and drinks will be set by Jasmine and me." I stated.
"When's the blind date happening?" Max asked.
"In two days." I stated while smirking.
"All right, we'll meet them tomorrow and talk about it," Sam replied.
"Great!" I exclaimed with excitement.
"Drink's ready!" Daniel yelled.
James entered the bar when he heard Daniel yell. We all cheered and gathered at the table.
This is going to be a long night. We're about to have a good time.
