Noel I stumbled as I got to my feet, the world tilting in ways that felt both hilarious and terrifying at the same time. The random guy, whoever he was, just stood there blinking at me like I’d grown a second head. “Hey, are you okay?” he asked, his voice tinged with concern. I ignored him, mostly because answering meant admitting I wasn’t, and that wasn’t going to happen tonight. Grabbing the bottle I’d left on the table, I took another long swig. Bad idea. Great idea.
