Clara's POV
I stood up, my eyes locking onto Spencer's.
“Spencer, I'm done being a victim. I'm done being played. I want to take down Derrick and Florida, and I want to do it with you.”
Spencer's expression was thoughtful, his eyes studying me with curiosity. “You're sure you're ready for this, Clara? This is going to get messy. They're going to fight back, and they're not going to play nice.”
I nodded. “I'm sure. I've had enough of their lies. I want to expose them for who they are, and I want to protect my daughter.”
Spencer's gaze lingered on mine, searching for any sign of doubt. Then he nodded. “Alright, let's do it. But first, let's take care of something.”
He pulled out his phone and made a call, his words brief. “Clear all of Clara Laurent's debts. Every last one.
