Yuna’s keys jingled in the lock, and I quickly locked my phone, sliding it onto the counter beside the strawberries. She was home earlier than usual. And my heart was still beating a little too fast. The door swung open and she stepped inside, with a tired but relieved sigh, already loosening the top button of her blouse. Her eyes found me immediately, and the gentle smile that spread across her face made some of the unease in my chest dissolve within me. “You’re back early,” I said, trying to sound normal, like nothing had happened. “I cancelled the last seminar. One of the students had a meltdown over The Bell Jar, so I let them out for air.” She kicked off her shoes and crossed the room, wrapping her arms around my waist from behind.
