Demon X: Seven Flowers of Sapphire

Seven Fragements

Xane looks confused, “Seven Flowers of Sapphire?” Aurora nods her head, “Yes the Seven Flowers that holds together the entire Eternal Verse. I see that you clearly don’t seem to understand what I’m talking about so I’ll give you a brief backstory.” Xane looks at Aurora as she begins to explain, “Long before the Eternal Verse ever existed lived a goddess named Sapphire which was created by the Three Terminal Gods. The Terminal Gods bestowed upon her a great amount of power but it was limited. As she grew near to the end of her power she decided to share life with you and me. That’s when she birthed forth the Eternal Verse. The power she used was so raw that the Eternal Verse became unstable. So Sapphire created Seven flower fragments of her life. Rose, Lily, Peony, Lotus, Dahlia, Hydrangea, and Cherry Blossoms. She then scattered them across the Eternal Verse and that’s how life dwells within the Eternal Verse.” Xane scratches his head in confusion, “So these flowers are what Lucifer is after?”

Aurora nods her head, “Precisely. You see, once he obtains the flowers he’ll be able to do one of two things. Destroy the Eternal Verse and create a reality of his own or use the flowers to open a gateway to any realm.” Aurora points at Xane, “You might want to go with the second option. Obtain the flowers for yourself and open a gateway to Hell.” Xane rubs his chin, “I like your way of thinking but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. I don’t have a clue as to where the flowers are. Do you know where they are throughout the Eternal Verse? Not only that, we’d have to scout through twelve voids.” Aurora looks at Xane, “I know someone that knows of the whereabouts of the flowers but.” Xane looks confused, “but what?” Aurora looks down at the ground avoiding eye contact with Xane, “Let’s just say me and this person doesn’t necessarily see eye to eye and I’m sorta banished from ever setting foot back on that planet.” Xane shrugs his shoulders carelessly, “So be it. Tomorrow morning we move out to find this person. We’ll just have to disguise you. Do you know where this person is you speak of?” Aurora nods her head, “We’ll have to travel to void one.” Xane then nods his head, “Then we have our objective. Let’s get some rest for the night. We have a long day ahead of us tomorrow.”

[ Hell’s castle ]

Lucifer is sitting on the throne, resting his cheek on his fist. The Seven Demons of Genesis are sitting around. Remi sighs in annoyance, “Ugh! I’m growing bored of just sitting around here all day!” Nightmare chuckles lightly at Remi, “Calm down Remi. I can tell you’re still frustrated from how the battle turned out between Diamond.” Shadow looks serious, “You’re damn right we’re upset! There’s no way we should’ve lost like that!” Levi agrees, “Yes I agree with Shadow. I mean Diamond didn’t possess a fraction of her true power and yet we still weren’t a match for her.” Dice tosses his hands out, “You do know we’re talking about the strongest Angel to ever exist. She will forever be the strongest Angel. She has defeated armies of millions on her own. Not only that but she singles handily brought down Lucifer’s father.” Beast nods his head, “I can admit she is a worthy foe. But having children left a major drain on her power.” Ezarath covers her mouth with her Japanese fan, “While you all sit around her boasting about her great feats and what a worthy opponent she is we still don’t have a way of getting out of Hell! Right now this puts a delay on our goal!”

Lucifer chuckles lightly, “No need to worry about it Ezarath. Look at who decided to finally show up.” The Seven Demons of Genesis notice Queen Zernia and Sebastian walking into the throne room. Remi looks confused, “What the hell are they doing here? No worries, I’ll get rid of them both!” Remi bursts off towards Queen Zernia and Sebastian. Sebastian steps in front of Queen Zernia blocking Remi’s punch with a single finger. Sebastian smiles carelessly, “My apologies but I can’t have you trying to touch my queen. Now away with you.” Sebastian blows Remi back with a burst of wind. Remi recovers from the attack and looks annoyed. Lucifer stands to his feet, “That’s enough Remi.” Remi looks at Lucifer and bows, “As you wish Lucifer.” Queen Zernia looks at Lucifer as he walks down his throne, “You should learn how to put your animals on a leash.” Remi’s face flares up with anger. Lucifer grins at Queen Zernia, “Did you come here to spit your meaningless insults?”

Queen Zernia rolls her eyes, “Actually I’ve come to get those seven out of here. Due to you alls incompetence, I have yet again to step in and lend a hand.” Lucifer chuckles, “I’d like to see you fight your daughter. You wouldn’t last a minute with her and if you think Sebastian will be a match for her then you’re sadly mistaken.” Lucifer looks Sebastian in the eyes, “How does it feel to still be second in command even though Diamond is dead? Your power still doesn’t surpass her even after death.” Sebastian smiles carelessly, “A title doesn’t define me Lucifer. How does it feel to be a demon king and be bested by your wife?” Lucifer smiles carelessly, “Hmph.” Queen Zernia sighs, “That’s enough out of you two. Quit with the childish bickering.” Ezarath stands up and looks at Queen Zernia, “How exactly do you plan on getting us out of here?” Queen Zernia looks at Ezarath, “Simply cast Revelations. It should allow you all to pass in and out of Hell freely. The downside is only one can leave at a time and another couldn’t leave until the first one came back or in you alls case…die.”

Lucifer looks at Queen Zernia and grins, “Die you say?” Queen Zernia looks at Lucifer, “Yes die. Need I remind you that the boy is still out there somewhere and who knows if you disposed of Aurora properly.” Lucifer tosses his hand down carelessly, “Why concern yourself with small fry?” Queen Zernia looks serious, “These matters aren’t to be taken lightly Lucifer. There is a lot at stake here and we can’t afford to lose or screw things up! Tie up loose ends!” Lucifer responds, “Yes, yes, yes, I understand completely.” Queen Zernia sighs in annoyance, “Anyways you all will go out and retrieve the flowers for Lucifer. Right now I know where two of the seven flowers are. The first one is in Void One and the second one is in Void 3. However, you all decide to go about this is totally up to you. Sebastian.” Sebastian nods his head, “As you wish.”

Sebastian puts his hands together as he begins to glow. A huge circle cut into 8ths begins to appear on the ground. Queen Zernia points at the circle, “This circle represents you all. If one of you were to die then the circle would lose one of its pieces. Pretty understandable. I’ll leave the rest up to you. Let’s get out of here Sebastian. The smell of sulfur is killing me.” Queen Zernia and Sebastian begin to walk out of the throne room. Queen Zernia stops and looks over her shoulder, “This is my final time helping you Lucifer. Don’t screw this up.” Queen Zernia and Sebastian exit the throne room. Lucifer looks at Ezarath. Ezarath looks at Lucifer, “I’ve decided on how we should move about on this thing. Basically, our rankings will decide the order in which we go out. Remi, Nightmare, Shadow, Levi, Dice, Beast, then lastly Me. Do you agree with that order Lucifer?” Lucifer folds his arms and nods his head, “I don’t see anything wrong with it so Remi you should get moving to Void One. It’ll take you about half a day to get there.” Remi grins big, “I’ll see you when I get back Lucifer.” Remi vanishes into black smoke. Lucifer walks up to his throne and takes a seat with a big grin on his face, “The time is finally upon us.”

Xane is sitting with his back to a wall watching Aurora sleep, “Teaming up with the enemy.” Xane turns his head and looks out the window at the starry sky, “Watch over me as I go on this journey.” Xane stands up and walks over to Aurora and places the cover over her.

[ Morning ]

Xane is getting Aurora in her disguise. Aurora looks confused, “Is it really necessary for me to wear this?” Xane looks Aurora in the eyes with a blank expression, “Did you not mention to me that you’re banished from ever setting foot on the planet? We’re taking caution at any means. I don’t want to draw any more attention than I have to. Now repeat to me what I told you to say throughout this entire journey whenever we speak with individuals.” Aurora rolls her eyes, “Do I really have to repeat it?” Xane tilts his head slightly with a serious look on his face, “Repeat it.” Aurora sighs in annoyance, “I’m Aurora Morningstar and this is my husband. Is there anything else you want me to say, dear?” Xane covers Aurora’s mouth with a mask only exposing half of her face, “That’ll do. Now let’s get a move on.”

Xane opens a portal, “After you.” Aurora walks into the portal and Xane walks in after her. Xane and Aurora are coursing through the portal, “So how did you get banished from this planet?” Aurora chuckles lightly, “I nearly once destroyed the entire thing. It wasn’t intentional but some things just don’t play out in your favor. I didn’t have much control of my powers as a child and I used to allow my emotions to run wild. I do regret some of the decisions that I’ve made in my life but I can’t change them.” Xane looks at Aurora, “She’s an odd one. She’s sorta heartless but she cares for certain things. Reminds me of me.”
