Hearing the load crash everyone at the party panicked, but no one knew the actual cause behind it. When Rudransh, Agastya and Akriti came inside rushing after the crash which came from the extravagant chandelier that was shining moments ago, now laid shattered on the ground. Suddenly Rudransh grabbed Akriti’s waist pulling her to himself making her body crash into his. Akrti's pov As we entered inside the hall, all I witnessed was chaos, everyone rushing around in panic, there were glass pieces all over. A shriek left my mouth as I was suddenly pulled by Rudransh crashing into his body. I looked up only to get lost by the charcoal black eyes that seemed so mesmerizing at the moment. He broke the eye contact glaring at someone behind, I looked back still in his arms there stood a guy looking absolutely terrified by Rudransh's glare. "Look where you walk" he barked rudely Taking me to a corner where the family stood he said, "Stay here and don't wander alone" I sighed knowingly and nodded. He and Agastya left to look around for the matter, whereas I stood there with everyone. I just stayed silent observing my surroundings not wanting to get noticed by people and make it awkward for me as face of the Rathore princess was still unknown to the world, and honestly I am relieved by it because I am not yet ready to face this judgemental society. "Calm down everyone, there is nothing to worry about it was just an accident" Said Rajender Singh Shekhawat, everyone took a bearth of relief. I chuckled being rich isn't easy there is always a threat to your life and looking at people's faces at the moment I knew no one was the Saint here. Now the chaos calmed I excused myself and made my way upstairs to the guest room which was shown to me the other day. Standing in front of mirror looking myself made me remember those charcoal eyes that were ready to drown me into the depth of there darkness, the way my body reacts to his touches the undeniable rush of sparks I feel when he looks at me makes me wanna hide away from him but at the same time let this intensity consume me. Author's pov The air in the Shekhawat palace was thick with anticipation as the echoes of the charity gala faded into the night. Akriti, her heart racing, stood in front of her ornate mirror, adjusting the intricate jewels that adorned her hair. The evening had been a whirlwind of laughter, glances exchanged, and subtle whispers. Yet, the crash they heard moments before still lingered in her mind, an ominous prelude to the challenges ahead. “Akriti! her father, Shivansh, called from the hallway, his voice laced with concern. “Just a moment!” she replied, her voice steadying as she took a deep breath. The reality of her predicament rushed back—she was expected to marry Rudransh Singh Shekhawat, the very man who had ignited a fire within her, yet also represented the heavy chains of royal expectations. As she descended the grand staircase, Akriti spotted Rudransh in a corner, engaged in a hushed conversation with Agastya. The Crown Prince’s brow was furrowed, his expression serious, contrasting sharply with the lively atmosphere around them. Intrigued, she paused, her heart fluttering as she considered their earlier connection. “Akriti! , child where were you, I was so worried." "I was just upstairs papa using washroom" shivansh sighed in relief knowing is daughter was safe and fine. "Papa we should leave, it's late" said Abhishek "Yes" replied shivansh Moving towards the Shekhawat family, Rudransh’s gaze met hers, igniting a spark that sent shivers down her spine. "Ab hum chlte h hukum" said shivansh to Abhimanyu (we should get going hukum) After sharing the pleasantries the Rathores excused themselves to leave. Next day as usual Akrti got ready to leave for her college, At college the only thing she noticed was the charity gala of the shekhawats. Akriti’s pov Seriously everyone is so interested in the gossips of gala, like guys get a grip on yourselves it was just a gala what's so special about it. As I entered inside the classroom, I realized everyone is gathered around the bench I often sit. Curiosity got over me as I walked over to the group to look what's happening only to realize they were also talking about the gala. "What is so special in this gala that everyone is just talking about it" I exclaimed Pooja one of my classmates replied "dude it's not about the gala it's about the Crown prince" My brows frowned "What about the Crown prince" Pooja sighed loudly "girl where do you live" Not understanding I just stared at her. "Look at this photograph, The cold, handsome, Greek God Crown prince is holding a girl in his arms like Seriously! this guy has never been seen with a girl like this before" she said making my breath rigid because only girl he was with yesterday was me...... Gulping nervously I asked "Oo who is this gurl" "That's the problem" she said loudly making me take a step back... damn I bet my ears have started ringing at her loud voice. "What do you mean" I asked "The face of the girl is hidden in his arms" and I sighed in relief as soon as these words left her mouth. "Look at this" she said showing me the photograph and as I can say it was such a good click I should thank the photographer tho whoever he/she is. "Get your thoughts straight aki it's just a photograph" saying this to myself I ushered them to their seats as the class was about to start.
