Rudransh's pov
Days have been really hectic due to all the wedding preparations. I have to finish my work and wind everything up due to all the upcoming functions, I still don't know why am i marrying her but the first time i saw her I was captivated by her fierceness.
Every other girl I met just wanted to please me by either being cute or just cringe which is downright irritating but she is different I guess.
That day she asked me why her and honestly what I replied was a thing I myself didn't knew of but now that I recall those words they are indeed true because if not her I doubt i would except anyone else.
Today is the day i am gonna tied by the knot of marriage with that little wild cat, but the reality is only known my be.
I am standing in front of mirror looking at myself groomed like a king to marry her but this is only a sense of duty to me I don't really do love. We were all set to depart to the Rathore mansion with the baarat. I sat on the horse after completing all the rituals, we were going all the way to her house on horse and with everyone dancing like a manaic and firecrackers all over the sky it honestly gave me a huge headache I just wanna to get done with all these.
After which almost felt like a decade we finally reached The Rathore Mansion which was excravagantly decorated giving all nineties royal wedding venue.
We all were welcomed into the house in a grand way, then the rituals began
I was asked to sit in the mandap and the priest started the wedding ceremony and then they asked for bride. I did not lift my head to look at the surroundings but when she entered into the venue with her face hidden but still visible behind her veil was everything that took my breathe away.
For a moment nothing else existed except her, she came and sat beside me and our hands were tied together and I did not wanted to acknowledge the feeling of how our hands were perfectly moulded together. Her hands felt so good in mine, they were soft and so small it felt i was holding some flower patels in my hands.
We were performing the rituals when I was asked to fill sindoor (vermillion) between her hair partition, I lifted silver coin and with it i filled her hairline with sindoor of my name and it caused a feeling that now she is my responsibility and it is my duty to protect her.
"Vivah sampaan hua, Abse app dono Pati-Patni hue" said pandit ji.
"Marriage ceremony is completed, Now you both are Husband-Wife.
Touch the feets of your elders, he said
We proceeded to do the same when she moved towards Mr. amd Mrs. Shekhawat (his parents) and I immediately stopped her, she looked at me confused and she should be I dont have very pleasant attachment with them honestly I don't like them at all.
We next moved to the dinning area arranged for the families, as everyone settled ourselves on our respective seats, she sat beside me still in her veil. Soon the dinning table was filled with variety of dishes which least interested me I am not a fan of gatherings they suffoagate me, but I happen to be habitual of them but it's not the case with her, she seems nervous.
Our plates were served with dishes but before we can start, we were asked to feed each other the first moursel to start our wedding life, and it irritated me to no end.
Suppressing my frustration I lifted my hand to feed her the first bite and get it over with, she lifted her veil a little bit to eat and as soon as my fingers touched her lips it sent shivers to my body and they temted me to do more than what should not be done here and atleast not now.
After the meal her relatives came and took her away to get prepared for the Vidai ritual (farewell ritual) and I was surrounded by my siblings who were being hell irritating at the moment
Now we were all set to move back to the Shekhawat Palace, there was a lot of crying session and now she was sitting inside the car and I was circled by her father and brother having a brief talk to how to take care of her I moved towards the car and sat into it. She was still weeping inside I sat there doing nothing and we departed from there.
Soon we reached Palace and it was excravagently decorated to welcome it's yuvrani and we were welcomed grandly after the aarti and some welcoming rituals dadisa (grandmother) said
"Ok its enough for today remaining rituals can be conducted tomorrow you both should go and rest we have a lot to do tomorrow"
I moved towards my room to get this heavy attire off me and I have a lot of pending work to attend to rather than these f*****g rituals.
After changing I moved towards my study which was attached to my bed chamber, I got engrossed in my work that i didn't even realised that it had been two hours since i was working, so i decided to pack all of it rest for a while as it was past midnight.
I came back to my room to notice a that lights are still on and she was sitting on the bed almost dosing of and near to fall from it.
