Chapter 13

Nothing happened after that. I was finally done of the parties and staying up late, and kissing Harry, and playing truth or dare. Detention was over. That's a good thing though, right? Why does it feel wrong? "And then, the lady hit me with her purse and I still didn't give her my burger." Niall laughs as he tells me this story. I've been nodding along without really listening, but hearing this sentence makes me understand it was another one of his food stories. I laugh a lot, probably way too much. "How are you still skinny, Niall?" I keep laughing. "I told you, the food loves me, it doesn't make me fat." He grins proudly. I swat his arm playfully and the bell rings. "Damn! We have math now, did you do the homework?" He panics. I nod. Of course I did the homework, what a question. "Hello class." The British accent startles me. "Of course you did. I did it too you know.." He says and I raise my eyebrow at him. "Alright alright I didn't do it." He looks at his feet. Just as I was about to say something, Mr.Styles speaks. "Take out your homework, and I will pass around to see who didn't do it." We all nod and I start looking for my homework. Shit. I forgot my notebook at home. I sigh and lay back. "Your homework, Horan?" I hear Harry say. "I didn't do it, sorry." My Irish friend answers. "Detention, meet me here after school." He says sternly. "Where's your homework?" He says, annoyed. "I- I forgot i-it at home." I hesitate like an i***t. He nods and walks away. Niall gives me a look that says: why me?! I shrug my shoulders and listen to the lesson. When class is over, everyone leaves except Harry, so I decide to say something. "Um, Mr.Styles?" I walk slowly to him. "Yes, Miss Orrectung?" He looks up from his papers. "Why didn't you give me detention?" I ask, and I realize how desperate I sound. He chuckles. "Why, do you want me to?" "No, I just think that I deserve it.." And I want you. "Jennie, I only gave Mr. Horan detention because it's his third time not doing the homework, this month." He chuckles again. "Oh." I look at my feet. "Aw, did you miss me, Jennie?" He smirks and stands up from his chair. And stands in front of me. "N-no I-" I panic again. He's on to my plan. "Don't worry, babe, I missed you too." He smirks and puts his arm around me.
