I woke up with Harry on top of me. He's snoring lightly.
Events of last night flash into my head. My dad, my nightmare, my sobbing, him telling me he's here for me, and carrying me to his bed.
Shit, I was trying to take things slow with him, and I ended up in his bed. No, I have to get up and never do this again, I won't be like his other friends with benefits.
I move away from him, and I lift his heavy body off of me. I get up from the bed and I notice his snoring stopping.
"Jenns?" He says, after opening his eyes.
"Yea?" I answer him.
"Where are you going.." He says in a sleepy voice.
"I'm going to get dressed. Let's forget this ever happened." I announce.
"Yea, okay. Gemma's clothes are in the closet in your room." My room. Of course he didn't mean it like that, and, who's Gemma?
Must be his sister.
I nod and go to the bathroom. I shower as fast as I can, not wanting to make Harry wait, since I noticed that he likes to go earlier to class than other teachers. Then I go to 'my room' to check out the clothes I'm going to wear.
I open the big closet and it's almost empty, except a few tops and two pairs of jeans, and a pair of white toms, and a pair of white converses. I grab a top that has a drawing of a Pikachu on it. Looks cute, and thank God it's my size.
The jeans are a little tight but I can manage. Finally, I go back to the bathroom where I think I saw a brush. So I dry my hair and brush it until my wavy hair looks decent. I will have to go without makeup, since I didn't find any. That might be a problem; I look way better with makeup. I hope no one will notice.
I exit the bathroom, grab my school bag and go to the living room to wait for Harry.
To my surprise, he is fully dressed and sitting on the couch, talking on the phone.
"What? She's in California?" He says into the phone.
I walk quickly away and stand behind the door, so I can listen to his conversation. My curiousity is killing me.
"Well tell her to say the fuck.. sorry I mean.. to stay the heck away from me."
"Why would she even go near you?"
"So you're like best friends now?" He mocks.
"I thought you would hate her after.." He stops talking and looks at me.
I don't even know what I did to make him notice me. Who is he talking to, though? And about who?
"I'll talk to you later." He finally says and hangs up and crosses his arms.
"I-I'm sorry.. I was just.." I stutter.
"Don't bother." He stops me.
"You're ready to go?" I say after a few seconds.
"What? You think we're going together?" He laughs.
"Um.. Yea?"
"We can't go in the same car, someone might see us, obviously." He laughs a little more.
He's right but still rude. I don't have a car, and he knows it.
"How am I supposed to go to school, then?" I roll my eyes.
"Take a cab, of course."
"Thanks for the help." I say sarcastically.
"You're welcome. I try not to be too nice, but it's cool to be usefu-"
"Harry. I'm being sarcastic."
"Oh. Then that's hurtful. I held you when you had your nightmare, remember?" He pouts and I giggle.
"Let's not talk about that, okay?"
"Yes, yes, I know. Why would I Tell people that I you were in my bed?" He harshly remarks.
I shrug and open the front door.
"Where are you going?" He asks, as if he cares.
"To get a cab, obviously." I snap.
"Okay." He says softly.
***
"Thank you." I tell the driver as I leave the cab.
I enter the school and go up the stairs to my class. I don't have Math right now, and that's a relief. To be honest I've seen Harry enough yesterday. And today is the only day I don't have his class on the first period, and that's a good thing.
I sit down next to Niall as usual. He looks as handsome as usual, except there's a frown covering his face. Is he okay? Did his parents yell at him again?
"Niall, are you okay?" I ask with lots of concern.
"Not really.." He looks away.
"What's wrong?"
"Well.. The football team I was cheering for lost yesterday's game.." He pouts.
