Lucas and I went downstairs for breakfast after showering together. Rose and Lucien were already at the table, eating. I took a seat across from Lucien, and Lucas sat beside me. My body felt a bit sore, but luckily, morning sickness wasn’t here to make things worse just yet. “Wow, Ester! I’m beyond happy to see you alive!” Lucien exclaimed. “Of course, I’m alive!” I rolled my eyes. What was he implying? “With all those moans and screams this morning, and I even heard a wolf growl, I thought Lucas had devoured you!” he teased, smirking.
