Off to See the Wizard
The trees in the swamp were so thick that at times the sun was completely blocked out. Rivulets and streams meandered through the trees from one lagoon to another. Bugs as big as a man’s fist and toads the size of hounds, along with strange creatures that had never before been seen, abounded there. A crocodile twice the normal size slithered through the water until a giant eel snapped it up in a single bite, leaving six-foot-high waves that rippled through the swamp as it splashed down beneath the surface. Plants of every kind, including some that were carnivorous, flourished there as well. It certainly was not a place anyone would go on a picnic, but nevertheless, a pack of gnolls shambled through it.
