Kelvin attitude toward Mira changed, he stopped caring about Mira, and started distancing himself from Mira, Mira became sad again. He barely gives her money for food and clothes as usual, whenever he's angry he won't allow her to go to work and put all his anger on her, he does even talk to her politely but in a harsh manner. Whenever he wants to be intimate he would force himself on her, even when she's tired. They all love loved her expect kelvin, the family took Mira to their house the day kelvin beat Mira to the point she almost lost her pregnancy, it all happened in the afternoon when kelvin came back and saw Mira lying on the bed covered with cloth, when he asked her about the clothes he told her to wash before leaving the house, Mira told him that she was sick, tired and weak, instant of kelvin to pity her he told her to wash the clothes before he return him. Mira couldn't get up, cook or eat, she tried to wash but her strength failed her, that was when kelvin bounced on her and beat her like a criminal, it was when Mira's cry for help grew louder that his neighbors came and start knocking on the door, while some went to Mr. and Mrs. Okoro house to inform them. It was when kelvin heard his fathers voice he opened the door, by then Mira was already bleeding, they rush her to the hospital and the doctor told them that both baby and the mother survived. From the day she was discharged Mira lived with kelvin family. Kelvin never show care for Mira again, but his family did a good job by caring for Mira, Mira regret why leaving her mothers house, even though her family was mean and cruel to her but she wound not have been pregnant by now, she also remembered her father and made up her mind to go visit him at the prison. Kelvin on the other hand lives his life carelessly and didn't want to hear about Mira again. Two days on Mira told kelvin's parent about her going to visit her father in prison, Mrs. Okoro told her she would accompany her to the station to see him, the next day very early Mrs. Okoro cooked rice and stew with big meat inside, and both she and Mira went to the prison together, when they got there, she saw her father first time for years and he had changed, he's now a bit old with beard, but his smile didn't change, Mira hugged her father tightly and he was happy to see her, they gave him the food and even ate together, when Mira tried to get up that was when he saw her belly, he was confuse, Mr. Walter didn't shout or get angry he just asked her what had happened, Mira explained everything to him, Mr. Walter cried and didn't believe his wife would do such a thing. He told Mira to be patient that everything will change very soon, he told her about some private investors that they want to reopen his case again, and they are working on it. Mira was very happy, the guard came and told them that visiting hours are over that they should come out. When Mira got home she was very happy and she had hope again. When Mira gave birth, kelvin didn't come too see her or even see his child at the hospital, it was kelvin's parent that discharged her, kelvin later came to his family house and by told her that once the baby was 1year old, she should go back to her parent's house that he won't marry her. Mira's heart was shattered and she wished she was never born because everybody she loved never truly love her and they had always hated her, that day she vowed never to love again or treate people specially. Mira named her child God's Gift, when Mira's mother Mrs. Walter found out Mira had given birth she felt sad but she hated Mira more for living the house, Mira wanted more for herself so when her baby was 6months she worked to earn money every month still she was able to save enough to buy her sewing machine and rented a small store where she was sewing, Mr and Mrs Walter gave her a 100,000 thousand to support her, Mira was very happy that she was able to take care of herself, she was happy she survived life, she can now buy things with her money. She went to the prison and told her father about her success the father was happy, the surprise were many, he also told her that they've gone to court and he was going to be released in three months time, Mira was happy that finally her father was free and her family was finally going to love her back, her father touched his grandson and prayed for him, that the child brought light the moment he was born,Mira never believed her father will finally come out, he told her not to tell anyone about it that it should be a secret between them, Mira promised him and she left for home.
