Eralia’s POV
We pull up outside the trailer park, Austin and Liberty have been staring into the plastic bag that contains our treats for most of the journey, as they listen to Tanner continue to badly describe how amazing they are. The rest of his slice from earlier is in the bag beside our box, as it was too much for the small boy to eat in one sitting.
Benny cuts the engine, climbing out as I do the same, grabbing the bags of shopping that are by my feet, and opens the rear door, unbuckling and lifting out Tanner, who wraps his arms and legs around the man quickly.
‘Thank you’ he whispers, ‘I had the best day ever!’
Benny laughs, ‘no problem, bud’ he replies, ‘I had a blast too, thanks for keeping me company.’
