Mackenzie's POV 'Luke tried to reason with her, begged her to think of Maxton, he needed his mother, but she just couldn’t do it. She’d promise to quit, but the draw was too strong, I think she had demons behind her that even Luke didn’t know about, and the drugs numbed her pain.
