This was such a bad idea, what the hell was going through my mind? I let Benny take my brother to work?! To the Cadell offices?! Nobody knows about my siblings, I have kept my family under wraps for a reason. Not because I don’t trust Mackenzie or Seona or their friends, but because I don’t want or need people digging into my life, causing me problems that will come from their well meaning interference.
I know that Mackenzie is a good person, and her husband and his friends are protective, I’ve been on the receiving end of that protectiveness before, and that is my main fear. The Cadell men are problem solvers and despite them not really being my friends, they’ll very likely feel the desire to sort out my home life, but they could cause more problems for me than they solve.
