Mackenzie’s POV I groan softly, shaking my head to try and dislodge the painful spot I can feel at the back. The uncomfortable position I’m in and the rumble underneath me draws me out of my haze as I slowly straighten up to find myself in the back of a van. Looking down I realise that I’m sitting on a mattress with dirty blankets thrown over, wedged into the corner to keep me upright.
