"Ahhh, my whole career is over… My beautiful clothes, my jewelry, my Ferrari…" Aurora wailed into the night.
Mirelia sighed, glancing at Aurora. They were on their way to Droevir's villa, and this was the seventh time Aurora had screamed in despair.
Mirelia tried to console her, "You don't need to worry so much. You only said a couple of sentences. You're a dance livestreamer, not a singer. Your voice doesn't matter that much."
"Ahhh~" Aurora continued wailing, clearly not listening to anything.
"Besides, I think your fake cutesy voice is kind of annoying. Maybe people would like you more if you used your real voice."
"Ahhh~"
Seeing that Aurora wasn't listening at all, Mirelia gave her a stern look. "I have a piece of jewelry designed by Linda from 30 years ago. I'll give it to you someday."
Aurora immediately stopped wailing, her eyes lighting up as she looked at Mirelia. "Oh, Auntie, I just love you so much!"
Mirelia rolled her eyes, knowing Aurora was just trying to get something out of her.
They soon arrived at Droevir's villa, which was close to the Universal Gravitation office building, saving him a lot of commuting time.
Mirelia opened the door and walked straight in, immediately encountering the butler with a serious expression. The butler bowed slightly, "Miss Mirelia, welcome back."
However, as he greeted her, he glanced behind Mirelia, puzzled. It wasn't Aurora he was curious about but rather why Mirelia had returned alone without Droevir.
Mirelia knew what the butler wanted to ask but didn't explain. "I'm just here to pick up some of my things. I'll be leaving shortly."
The butler seemed to misunderstand, thinking Mirelia would go pick up Droevir after collecting her things.
Mirelia led Aurora upstairs to her study. She walked to her desk and opened a drawer, revealing her ID, bank cards, a 50 million check, and a deed to an estate.
The check and deed were given to her by Droevir when they broke up. At the time, Droevir admitted he had wronged her and offered these as compensation.
But to Mirelia, these meant nothing. She still loved Droevir and didn't want a breakup. She didn't know who Droevir secretly had feelings for, but as long as he hadn't found that person, she believed she still had a chance.
Looking back now, she realized she had been naive. Love couldn't be forced; if he didn't love her, no amount of effort could change that.
Compared to the elusive nature of love, the check and estate were far more tangible. Mirelia thought as she packed everything into her bag.
Aurora, watching this, was so envious she nearly drooled. So much money, who knew dating could be so profitable? Streaming seemed like a joke compared to this.
"Stop drooling and let's go," Mirelia said, glancing around her carefully decorated study. There was nothing worth holding onto, and naturally, nothing she needed to take with her.
Downstairs, they ran into the butler again. He respectfully asked, "Should I prepare some hangover soup for the young master now?"
Mirelia shrugged. "I don't know, call him and ask."
The butler looked confused and hesitated before asking, "Did you and the young master argue again? He's always been good to you."
Mirelia smiled. Even the butler could see it, Droevir's kindness to her was just like a prince being generous to a Cinderella, and she had mistaken it for love.
"Thank you for taking care of me these past six years. Goodbye," Mirelia politely bid the butler farewell. Even though she had broken up with Droevir, she wouldn't take it out on anyone else.
The butler silently watched Mirelia leave, wanting to ask if she would ever return, but the words never left his mouth.
Maybe he felt it wasn't his place as a servant to ask, or maybe he just had a feeling that if Mirelia answered that question, she really would never return.
