Nicole's POV
He walked out and I was left sitting alone, numb from everything.
I couldn't believe that he was going to let me go. How did I truly feel about that?
“I'm not a monster”. His words repeated in my mind.
I was worn down. My mind was racing and I just needed to shut everything off. I laid back on my pillows and placed a hand over my eyes. I needed a break from this crazy life. Why couldnt I be born a human? I would never have to deal with any of this. Just a normal life.
I pulled the blanket over my head and closed my eyes. I felt the emotions take over. I covered my mouth to stifle the sounds of the sobs. Before I knew it, the emotions had drained all my energy and I had fallen victim to sleep.
