They continued to bang on the door. How on earth did he find out where she lived, and he brought company. She run her hands through her hair, pulling it. She wasn't scared of him. Oh no. She was scared of who he brought. The police. She took deep breaths. She finally decided to open the door. After all she gave the man what he deserved. The police might even thank her. She opened it, stopping another knock. They all gave her a stern look, but his especially made her want to cower. "Ms. Lorene, we want to....' The policeman couldn't complete his sentence because she cut him off. "Thank me for that good ass whopping." She smiled. "I know. Now I know you want award me but don't worry. Silence as well as you disappearing from my front door is golden" she made a vee with her index and middle finger. "Cheers." She was unable to slam the door as she intended to because the office blocked it with his leg. "So you did do it." She rolled her eyes. "Arrest her." She looked at him as though he had grown another head. Arrest? She became scared. She hadn't really done much damage. Right? "Arrest? You can't arrest me. It was in self-defense." "From what?" Roman said after he couldn't stand being quiet anymore. "You" she said in a duh tone. He smirked at her. Why couldn't she just shut up so they will get this over with already. "Arrest her." The police men grabbed her hand. "Wait. Wait. "She breathed. "I need to talk to my lawyer." She demanded. The police man handed his phone out to her. "Call him." They all knew the wild one, so they were not really shocked when they found out she assaulted Roman. What they didn't get was why she would want to pick up a fight with someone like Roman. She swallowed. "Oh, I was talking about the lawyer the state was going to give me." They all rolled their eyes at her silliness. "Get me out of here!!!!!" She screamed from behind bars. Even the policemen were fed up. It was just jail not prison. "Let me out I didn't do anything!" Her grip was on the bars pulling them. "Cal! Cal!" He was her very good friend who worked with the police. "Cal let me out of here. I didn't do anything!" Cal walked up to her. He didn't enjoy seeing her there but it's not like he could do much about it. Mr. Lorenzo was determined to take this to court. "Listen Nikki. You shouting is not going to help your case. Do you even know who he is?" She crossed her arms in front of her chest. Her silence was just the answer he needed. "He is Roman Lorenzo. C.E.O. and heir to Lorenzo Corpse." She gasped. She should have noticed him. His face was plastered everywhere. She hit her forehead. She had to mess the world's richest man. "Well talk to him. Tell him......" "Tell me what?" Roman's voice appeared from behind. Cal gave her am apologetic look and excused himself. "Look. I know we have not had the nicest form of introduction." She held up her index finger. "But I am ready to forgive...." "Wait you are ready to forgive me." He scoffed at her silliness. "You don't get it do you? I call the shots here." There was a moment of silence. He fixed his suit before continuing. "$4000." "What?" She asked not sure of what he meant. "That's how much the court requires you pay." He showed her the court slip. "What?!" She didn't have that money. Heck she had never seen $4000 her entire life. "I don't have that much." He slipped the paper back in his pocket. "Well then get ready to go to prison." He turned, having the intention of walking away. "Wait isn't there something else I could do?" Her question caused him to turn round. This was what he had been waiting to here. "Actually, there is."
