I woke up surrounded by the scent of the forest and sound of singing birds. For the first time in many years I felt peace. I opened up the tent to let more of the fresh air inside. I took a deep breath and smiled. Oh, how I wished I could stay there forever. The only thing that was wrong at that moment was that I still couldn't feel my wolf. But I knew she is still somewhere deep inside me and that nothing could stop me from reconnecting with her.
I took a sandwich from my bag and ate it. I took a bottle of water and drank some. I guess that water in the lake is drinkable too but I'll check it later. As a werewolf I have really great smell and just by it I can determine the water quality.
After the breakfast I took my phone and decided to call my parents, so they wouldn't be worried. There was no signal so I had to get out of the cave first. When I was outside I took some time to examine the surroundings. It was really beautifull and what's most important I couldn't smell any other wolf nor human. I was alone and safe. I called my parents and told them I'm fine. Of course I lied about where I was. I even described the hotel that I found in the internet a few days ago. I guess I was really convincing because they believed me and thanked me for the call. I didn't knew I was such a good liar. I guess playing a happy human girl for so many years taught me how to lie perfectly. I ended up the phone call and put the phone in my pocket. I sat nearby the lake and sniffed the water. It was drinkable, just as I thought. It's great because I have only three bottles of water with me and I wanted to stay here for the whole week. Of course I will propably need to go to the town to buy some more food in the meantime, but at least I wouldn't have to carry more water bottles here.
Soon I decided to start my training, because it should bring me closer to my wolf. At least I hoped it would. I ran two rounds around the lake, the fastest I could. I wasn't as thought as other werewolves because I hadn't train as I should have, so it made me a little bit tired. I made the third round in slower pace than the first two, but I least I tried. Next thing I have done was 40 push-ups, 50 squats and 50 crunches. After that I really got tired. I did some stretching and decided I deserved a little break. I sat on the ground and meditated, hoping to reach to my wolf but I still couldn't feel her. However, it didn't discourage me. I knew it would take time. Also I knew that in two days there will be full moon which should help me a lot. That day was also my 20-th birthday and I believed it would be a big day. I didn't except to shift yet, all I wanted was to hear my wolf again. I missed her so much.
When I regained some strenght I was ready to continue training. I took of my clothes, leaving only the underwear and got into the lake. The water was cold, but I was a werewolf, I could easily withstand that. I took a deap breath and swam across the lake. It wasn't that big, but after all the training I have already had it was quite a lot for me. I took some time to catch my breath and swam back. I took my clothes and went back to the cave. It was enough training for one day and I got really hungry. I ate some canned meat and an apple. It wasn't the best quality lunch, but at least I wasn't hungry anymore and I had strenght for the rest of the day.
