After the breakfast I went outside to play. My younger sister, Zoe, was still asleep. The day was beautifull. Birds sang while sitting on the trees nearby. Nothing heralded what was going to happen.
One moment everything went quiet. I couldn't hear the birds anymore, so I stayed there, in the backyard of our pack house, trying to understand what's going on. Then out of nowhere, in front of me appeared a man. He was in his late 30's. He had long, black hair. He smelled rogue and something else, but I couldn't understand what it was. He looked at me with evil grin. I wanted to scream, but I couldn't. I watched the black fog surround me. I wanted to run, but I couldn't do that either. That moment I understood. What I smelled on him was magic. Very bad magic. Soon the fog surrounded me completly. It was dark and hard to breath. And then I lost consciousness.
The next thing I remember is me being held by the neck by the man I saw before. I couldn't see him, but I could smell his terrible scent. When I looked up I saw my father's terrified face. Then the man, that was holding me spoke:
- "Alpha of the Purple Moon pack! I challange you to a duel. If I win, I become the Dark Alpha of Purple Moon pack and your family have to leave the pack territorry in one hour after the fight and never come back. If you win I will leave and you'll never see me again. But if you refuse to fight I will k*ll half of your pack, starting from your precious daughter and then we'll talk again. Do you accept the challange?"
- "Yes, I do accept." - I heard my father saying through gritted teeth. I could see that he was scared. I was too.
Then the man let me fall on the ground, scratching my neck while loosing the hold. I ran to my father and started crying. He said nothing but held me. Then he placed me on the ground and led me to miss Anders, who was watching the whole scene.
I couldn't stop crying. Miss Anders took me inside the pack house, where my mother and sister were. My mom hugged me instantly. I knew she wanted to go to our father, but she had to stay there with us and make sure we are safe. Soon we heard the first signs of fight, that had started outside.
