Reached May with no call from Hannah. It meant Brian was leaving her alone, but also that she had no intention of keeping in touch. Couldn’t blame her, but I was still disappointed.
Dad called, asking only for my side of the story. I told him how Brian acted up to the moment he stomped out my door, my father grunted his understanding, and that was it. He’d handle Mom. Good to learn at least one of my parents saw Brian for who he was now.
Jake was finally ready to make full recordings of all the songs he’d been writing since he and Beth got back together, so we’d been in his basement studio all spring working on the presentation for the label.
