Alex’s POV
I was standing on the podium waiting for the pack members to arrive. I planned it for right after dinner so that people could come in as soon as they were done eating and it seemed to be a good idea as people quickly filed in. Kane came in and walked right up to the stage.
“Hey man, you doing ok?”
“I am. It’s a lot but I think it will be ok. This pack is just scared right now.”
“I am sure. You just killed their Alpha and then left them all day to wonder what was going to happen.”
“Alright, get off this stage before I have to kick your ass, too.”
“You wish,” he laughed and then went and sat in the front row with Hailee.
