Alex’s POV
The next morning I sat in my office with Alpha John and his Beta Wes and his slave, who I haven’t even learned her name yet. He was reviewing the contract that Lucy had drawn up for me last night. I owed her big. She threw in so much legal jargon that I didn’t even know what it said, but I knew it said in there somewhere that if he took another slave, our contract would be void and that is what I was counting on.
“Why do you want my slave?” He finally asked as he put the contract down.
“I have my reasons.” Is the only explanation I gave him. I could see him getting angry. His face was turning red. She was still kneeling by him, and he backhanded her and turned to her.
