She Is Mine

Liam’s POV

After Desmond left I buried myself in the work I had on my table.

Running the company and the pack isn’t really as easy as it seems but I need the extra work to keep it both running without lapses.

Lexi was nagging about going to meet our mate in her room but I know she needs time adjusting so I didn’t want to go to her.

I permitted Arielle to keep her company so she won’t be alone.

Carla is making sure that everything she needs is moved into my apartment.

I gave her that room temporarily so it won’t seems like am pushing too much.

What I really want is to move her immediately to my own apartment and then to our room. Lexi wants that too. But my human side must think like a human.

“What’s the matter with you buddy, still worried about the presence you felt in our mate.” I asked Lexi who is still feeling restless.

“I know it’s absurd but I can’t shake it off. There is more to it. And I need to know what. I need to observe our mate closely to confirm my suspicions.” Lexy said

His comment made me remember

“Well don’t worry buddy you will do that so because it’s time for dinner and I'm betting our mate hasn’t had anything to eat yet. Let’s introduce her to the pack members before someone confuses her as an outsider and pounce on her.” I said arranging my table.

Lexi growled.. “No one can touch my mate.”

“Our Mate and Relax nobody would. We will tear them limb for limb.” I said confidently

I mind linked the cooks if dinner is ready and I gets a confirmation of it being ready. Then I mind linked Arielle to get Kylie down for dinner. I also mind linked Micheal to come meet at the office.

When Micheal came in I briefed him immediately about introducing Kylie to the pack as a new member first and then allow them accept her before presenting her as their Luna.

Micheal felt it’s best he introduced her as a member of the pack and his mate also so as to be able to keep her safe.

The Luna ceremony can happen later after she has fully understood her responsibilities and knows their ways. I see that as a better option.

Even though I had wanted to introduce her as just a pack member, I truly wanted her to be known as my mate immediately but just didn’t want to scare her.

All of these are new to her and it would be overwhelming for her to dive into being a Luna immediately.

It would be overwhelming for her to just be accepted immediately as the Luna with lots of responsibilities already.

I think I would want to court her first and make her accept me.

Take her out on a date and also propose to her officially before presenting her to the pack that way she won’t be surprised and turn me down. From her aunt I learnt she might be calm and meek but she is very stubborn and hard headed. I explained to Michael.

He nods his understanding.

“Then how do you want to go about it.” He asked frowning

“I will take her on a date tomorrow night. Make the necessary arrangements. Somewhere calm and reserved. I need to get to know who my Luna is and make her fall in love with me than enforce the bond on her.” I said smiling

I didn’t mention the fact that Lexi also wants to have a quiet time with her to also satisfy his curiosity about the presence he is feeling from her.

That’s my personal business for now. I wouldn’t want anyone doubting or trying to harm my mate because of a presence that we haven’t confirmed is existing.

With the plan in mind I dismissed Micheal so as to prepare my self for dinner.

When I went into the bathroom, my mind drifted back to the school lady’s room and a smile came to my face.

That’s it, Lexi took over again and this time he slammed her against the cabinet.

He was so furious that Allison couldn’t make any complete sentences during the attack.

He launched at her violently and Allison was only standing because she was a beta.

But even with her training and beta blood, she couldn’t withstand Lexi, and she had to submit eventually and apologize before he could calm down.

“If you ever talk about my mate again, I will kill you and feed your remains to rogue wolves. Let me make this clear to you: I choose Kylie as my mate. She is MINE. Let her be weak. I will protect her, let her calm. She completes my personality, but she is never useless to me. Do you understand that?” Lexi Growl

She nods in not so visible fear, but I can smell it. She is a beta after all. Her pride still stood with her. But she couldn’t fool me because I could smell her fear and that was calming Lexi down. He gave some final warnings.

“If I ever hear you talk about her, go to her or even look at her. I will shred you limb for limb. Liam might have a likeness of you because of how far you’ve come together, but trust me, we are on the same page when I say this. STAY AWAY FROM OUR MATE.” Lexi Retreating back

“Now get out of my room” I said calmly to her, like I wasn't just vibrating now.

She took one last look at me and ran out of the room. I took another deep breath to fully calm myself. That b***h is always wanting to make me lose my cool.

Alpha, we are ready for you. Micheal mind linked me. I quickly dressed up and left the room, reminding Arielle to bring Kylie down, to which she replied we were on our way. I smiled and felt calmer with the thoughts of my mate coming to sit by me.

The dinner room is like a large hall big enough to entertain at least 200 people. It’s where we have our pack parties and eat together if the need arises.

But mostly it’s the people who live in the pack house that come to eat here, and I do join them sometimes if I am in the house during dinner or breakfast. But today is different.

Just the elite members of the pack were present and Allison happened to also be there too.

“This should be fun” Lexi said to me excitedly, sitting down on a couch. From a single chair to a couch does this wolf wants to build a mansion in my head.

“I can hear you dumbass” I smiled inwardly, understanding his meaning.

I took my seat and told them about the introduction of a new member, so we should all wait for her to come in first.

Not long after, her sweet fragrance weaved its way into my nostrils, causing me to smile unconsciously.

The door opened and she went in with Arielle.

Seeing her lightened my head immediately. The look of annoyance on her face was bothering me, but that look suddenly changed to that of surprise and a faint smile when she saw me there, but mine changed from a smile to a frown.

She reeks of other men's scents. She has been touching different men in the pack.

Why does she have so much scent on her? My anger knew no bounds.

Who were those that dared to touch what was mine?

Arielle led her to her seat by my side and that calmed Lexi a little bit. The smell was bothering us.

I formally introduced her and asked us to start eating. She was trying to eat, but I could see she was worried about something.

I was worried about the smell on her that the food was tasting like lead to me.

Sensing my fury, Arielle's mind quickly linked me.

“She was hugged by Desmond while on our way here. He also introduced her to the twins and also to a few people who wouldn’t stop stealing hugs from her. "She's angry because they invaded her personal space, and you are making it worse by being visibly angry right now,” she told me.

I had to try and calm down and make her feel relaxed. But those scents are driving me crazy.

Not being able to take it anymore, I stopped and pulled her up with me, dragging her out of the dinner room to the nearest empty room. Without seeking her permission, I claimed her lips.
