Liam’s POV

I know most people think that I'm heartless and brutal but I don't really care. I am the youngest alpha in the werewolf kingdom and it is really not easy to maintain this position.

I took over the position immediately after my father was killed by rogues.He really wanted to make sure that his pack is constantly safe so he goes the extra mile to keep things in check.

Some of the alphas of other packs believing that I am young had tried to want to overrun me and take over my pack at the early stage of his reign.

In order to keep those hunger leeches at bay I had to bring out my dominance and brutality to the surface. Not only was I merciless and cold hearted, I also make sure that my enemies never live to tell the story of defiling me

Mine has every thing working for me, the pack is safe, my company is the largest in the city and I have my werewolf gene to keep me fit and desirable to the ladies.

Although i haven't found my mate yet who the moon goddess desire for me to live the rest of my life with, but I'm not worried. Who needs to have one woman for the rest of your life when you can have any woman you want at any time.

I'm is currently with Allison Bark, daughter of the late Beta. I'm in the relationship with her not because I love her, that's is total out of the question, she is too clingy to be the woman I love but my late parents had wanted me to be with her and settled with her as my chosen mate because i haven't found my fated mate.

I'm not interested in looking for my fated mate anyways. Meeting her will only make me weak before the eyes of the other alphas. She will become my weakness and most probably my destruction. For that major reason I decided not to look for her.

Allison is a strong, bold and protective she wolf and that's all I need now. Although my wolf Lexi disagreed with me marking her but he knows that with time he will give in. They can't wait forever and the s*x between them was good. Just thinking about it now is actually giving me a hard-on.

Sitting now in my office trying to settle some pack issues I couldn't help but feel uneasy. I had to travel out of Pincrest to monitor my other companies grow and track down the leader of the rogues that has being disturbing the neighbouring packs.

It had taken me more time that I had anticipated but i had successfully destroyed the rogue camps and sent their leader to the alpha king for judgement since I was asked not to kill him.

I would have loved to snuff the life out of that wild beast but he has to obey the alpha king and can't go against my orders even when it's inconvenient.

Returning back to pack I found out that everything has being running perfectly, not that I was expecting anything less. Even while away I kept track of everything that was happening in my pack.

My beta Micheal is more reliable to run the pack in my absence and i didn't bother thinking otherwise while leaving the pack to create a safer environment for my pack members.

But the strangest thing that happened to me is that since I entered into my pack border my wolf has being restless.

He kept nagging me to go out. initially I felt it's because he wanted to be certain of the safety of the people but after going through the reports and seeing some major persons, Lexi still won't calm down.

“what's wrong Lexi?” I asked my wolf.

“I can't tell what it is but I have a certain pull to a certain area.”

“Alright let me get done with the office and we will go get Allison am sure u are just stressed and needs some release.” I said.

“I don't really fancy that she wolf of yours but I guess she would suffice for now.” Lexi said with a snare

After coming to an agreement I decided to quickly finish what I was doing in the office and make a run to pincrest Academy.

it is also an opportunity to see the new members of the pack that came in while I was away. Although I know them but they have being out of the pack for some years and have decided to come back with his permission.

A slight knock was heard although I already knows from his scent who the person was but still protocol demands that he waits for permission before entering his alpha's office.

“Come in” I said. Beta Micheal walked into the office with a smug look on his face. although Michael is my beta, he is also my best friend. We had to stand together to defeat the alphas that wanted to cease our pack lands. We are more than pack members or pack officials but are brothers

“Why do you have that look on your face?” I asked him after seeing him sitting and still looking at me with that smug look.

“The alpha of moon stone pack is wanting to form an alliance with you. Apparently he knows that you don't have a mate yet and is wanting to initiate a mating between you and his daughter who is an alpha too. Rumour has it that she is also the beauty of thier pack just like your Allison. It seems like all the beauty of the land wants to be by your side.” He said

I sighed and shook my head. I understands that most alphas around would want their daughters to be with m despite the fact that I am ruthless and heartless.

The moon goddess must have a great plan for my mate for keeping her far away from me otherwise I'm very sure that the woman crowding me would probably not want her an inch close to me.

“What's the news on the new occupants in the pack?” I immediately changed the topic of discussion

Michael understood what I was trying to do and went along with him...

“Carla is back in the pack with her niece who is currently at pincrest academy. Apparently she wanted to stay more in touch with her wolf side and since her niece is not a wolf it has being difficult for her to keep her wolf at bay.”

“Alright I hope they were given proper welcome.” I asked

“yes alpha.”

“Lexi has been edgy since we got back I want to swing by the school to pick up Allison, maybe that would calm him down for the time being.” I said standing up

Michael laughed at me and said “you really need to find Your Luna.”

“Not ready, not looking..” I stood up and walked out of the office with Michael on my tail.

When We got to the university entrance Lexi wanted to jump out. He seems more restless

“Relax buddy, you are beginning to get me worried you know.” I said

“I can't help it Liam, it seems like something or someone is looking for me or calling out to me.” Lexi Said pacing back and forth in my head

I sighed.. my wolf can be extremely annoying sometimes especially when it comes to expressing himself, he is a mute man trying to pass a message.

“I heard that you nitwit.” Lexi said sitting on an Invisible chair

I laughed at myself but suddenly I started feeling the same restless as my wolf.

“Do you feel that?” I asked Lexi.

“Exactly what I have being feeling…” Lexi said rolling it's eyes

“Let's just get Allison and get out…agreed?” Lexi gave a nod.

Immediately I came out of the car, i noticed that some of the female students were already trying to slightly crowd around the car but that was not what bothered me but rather the sweet smell that hit my nostrils faintly.

It was vanilla and chocolate frosting smell with a tiny hint of rose. It smelled so good that I could almost taste it. Lexi was jumping up and down in my head giving me a serious headache.

“No no no this can't be right, i don't want a mate.” But I just can't control the urge to look for her just once to see the one that the moon goddess has blessed me with.

Allison came out and walked elegantly towards me and placed a kiss on me cheeks. she actually wanted to kiss me on the lips but somehow Lexi didn't want that and involuntarily growled at her leaving me with no choice but to give her my cheek.

And then suddenly I saw her standing behind some girls

She was the most beautiful girl I have ever seen, her long blond hair was pulled up in a rough bun leaving some strands on her face. I think her eyes are hazel and really beautiful, she was looking at me and then I knew I was smothered, I can't loss her I need to know her name. Lexi kept screaming

mate! mate!! mate!!!

Then she ran back inside, I couldn't fathom why she did that but I know she is human because I didn't sense any wolf from her. Although humans can't really sense their mates like wolves but they are still attracted to them without knowing.

Allison was saying something but I can't really get what she was saying until I had to pay attention

“Babe let's go, when did you come back, I have missed you so much. Am sure you have missed me too.” She said

I smiled at her and began thinking of the best excuse to find my mate.

“Micheal I found my mate hold Allison…” I mind linked my beta...

“What!!! where!!!...” I closed the link immediately don't really have time to explain. I quickly told Allison...

“Just give me a minute, let me see the administrator for something important”. I released my hands from her hands and went in to find my mate.

I followed the scent and allow Lexi to guard me. it lead us to the ladies room and I couldn't help but smile to myself. But how do I go in to meet her without causing a stir up with the ladies.

Just as I was about turning back frustrated, the door opens and her scent hit me at the time as she bumped into me and was falling back but with reflex action I caught her and the sparks erupted everywhere.

It was a volcano eruption with the tingling feeling flowing from every spot that our bodies touched. I also used the opportunity to look deeply into her eyes and yes there were hazel and they were beautiful.

Her lips were full and plump that I could just see myself getting lost in kissing her. Lexi couldn't stop sighing and looking like a love sick puppy while feeding me dangerous thoughts on how to take our mate and mark her immediately.

The thoughts became too dangerously close to my mind that I quickly left her and she fell like a sack of potatoes. I immediately cringed because I know that it will hurt her.

“ouch..” she said and I went to help her stand up. she hit my hands off and said point her finger to my face

“If you knew you were going to drop me why did you help me in the first place.” She said

wow! our mate is feisty Lexi said in my head.

I took a slow walk towards her deliberately trying to prove my dominance over her and when I noticed she was at the wall and wanted to escape from the other side I placed my hands to block her exit. I couldn't stop looking at her face. she is indeed beautiful. thank you moon goddess, she is perfect.

Without thinking much about it I claimed her lips. I could feel the initial shock from her but later melted into the kiss and I couldn't help but deepen the kiss. when we became short of air I broke the kiss and her heartbeat was like music to my ears.

Then Lexi feeling so happy about the kiss said what I couldn't say in person

“Hello mate..”

The shock in her eyes almost made me believe that she heard what Lexi said but just as I was about asking her Allison's voice was heard calling out to me.

She pushed me with sure force and ran back into the ladies room. I wanted to ask her some questions and the most important one was her name.

“Liam I was out looking for you..” Allison finally caught up with me

I angrily walked pass her and while going out I saw a pack member, I think her is Arielle and she was asking someone

“Hey have you seen Kylie?” I overheard

And somehow Lexi feels she was talking about our mate. but inorder not to raise anymore suspicions I left the school into the car and Allison sat beside me.

“Liam why are you angry, did something happen” She asked

“it's alpha to you Allison and no nothing happened. I just want to go back to the pack something came up. I drop you off at home, let's talk later okay. I had to be calm and calculative in order not to pu

t my mate in harms way.” I said.

All through the trip home I can't help but wonder what she is like.
