Chapter 21A Meeting of Minds
Captain Anthony Prendergast, R.N. (Retired) arrived a good ten minutes before their pre-arranged meeting time. Ross was luckily positioned in the reception area anyway so couldn't fail to witness his arrival, though Ross mentally kicked himself for expecting the man to be dressed in uniform, only realising as Prendergast walked through the doors of the Hope and anchor that as a retired officer, he'd be dressed in civvies. Prendergast still managed to stand out however, dressed in his black blazer with the submariner's blazer badge and shining brass buttons, crisp white shirt and tie that also bore the logo of the submarine service, and sharply pressed grey flannel trousers. His black shoes were polished to a resplendent finish, every inch an ex-military man.
