We continued walking through the forest all through the night, and eventually, when daylight broke, a town came into view nearby. I was feeling more and more exhausted, but Elias never let go of my hand. He stayed beside me the whole way, patient and calm. As soon as we reached the edge of town, Elias spotted a motel and went inside to book a room for us to get some proper rest.
