My hand struggled to pull the book off her strong step on it; as I looked up at her, begging her in silence to lift her foot, her sneer of mockery was a response to my effort. I stood up with my curled hands, restraining my vexation mirrored in my sharp gaze at her. "If you think you can intimidate me with your childish behaviour, you are wrong."
