Done organizing the belongings inside the trunk, I climbed into the car and fastened my seatbelt before starting the engine. As I didn't hear Ilana say anything, I started the talk to break the silence.
"Are you ready?" The void responded to my question; I turned my eyes to Ilana and what I met was her sad pale face with her gaze on the road. "Is there anything wrong, Ilana?"
That girl looked startled; her head jerked at me and then shook. "Sorry….what did you say?" She seemed to fake her smile to pretend to be all right.
I diverted my gaze away from her in did appointment for her mind was not even with me; what was she thinking of right now?
"I just want to make sure that you are fine. You look pale; I am afraid that you might be sick."
"I-I am well, a hundred percent healthy
