Kevin might think highly of himself that everyone would eat his lie and fall for the trap of his pretense. With his great acting skill, he was a good actor for the rest of the students at school but his talent did not work out for me.
My lips curled into a wry smile at his words which I assumed as a fake apology before my unexpected utterance struck him.
