My body flinched backward in reaction to his action releasing my hand in a sudden; Kevin, with a smirk on his lips and his stare on my shoes, disparaged me before leaving me alone. "If I were you, I would have thrown those shoes away." With my clenched hands, I restrained myself not to beat him in his head for his gibe at my miserable look. After he vanished behind the door, I picked the groom and the dust pan, returning them to their place in reluctance and emptying the trash bin.
