My feet spontaneously followed Vera's steps but the nurse with an old lady in a wheelchair cut my track. She needed my assistance in taking the grandma for a walk outside of the clinic. I could not say no; my head bowed to her request. I still had another opportunity to meet Vera, after all.
"Thank you, Ilana." I smiled, responding to her words; my hands moved to the push handle and propelled it out of the building.
Passing through the doorway, I pushed the wheelchair toward the park, not far from the clinic but the grandma wanted me to stop. I obeyed her, pausing and locking her wheelchair so that it didn't move anywhere.
