With his palm covering my mouth from any scream that I could make, my body submitted to him until it reached inside the store room full of broken stuff where spider webs garnished its wall. In my prayer, I wished nothing but God would shower me with His mercy through His miracle; someone would save me from Kevin's brutality. In the end, my mouth could shriek for help; however, the louder it was the voice I produced, the quieter my surroundings were until the light blinded my eyes. Only after several attempts, I could eventually push my eyelids open and instead of being in the room with Kevin, I was on my bed next to my mother; I just had a nightmare. I sighed in relief that it was just a dream; however it did not last long for a few minutes before I laid my body back on the mattress,
