Before Eva went into her closet, she made one last check to make sure that the door that led to her bedroom was, in fact, locked from the outside. This was done before she went ahead and entered the room. By turning the key in the lock, she was able to accomplish this. Before going into her dressing room, she completed one last task for herself. She went inside as soon as she was certain that the door was locked, and once she got there, she found the small metal tin that was hidden inside a shoe box that was sitting atop a mountain of other shoe boxes. She found it once she was certain that the door was locked. It was hers to take.
