*Warning - Violent scenes* Lana P.O.V Tears streamed down my face as soon as I heard those words leave his mouth. He rejected me? He didn't even know me. Justin and my brothers only became friends like two years ago ... he only heard false rumors about me and yet he still rejected me without even giving consideration to the mate bond. "But ... but why? I - I don't understand" I managed to say to him. He just looked up at me in pure disgust. I heard Chasity whimper in my head constantly. My whole body felt numb and a white pain seared through my skin. I was used to being beaten and broken down my entire life but this was simply something just on a different level. In the distance, I saw Marco and his groupies walk over to us. I knew he would definitely let me have it for even so much as for talking to any of the ranked members. I looked back up to Justin, hoping that the mate bond would at the very least have him feel what I am feeling. I was hopeful for merely a few seconds when I saw his eyes soften up a bit. However, my hope didn't manage to last for long as he pulled back his hand and slapped me right across the face again, making sure to bust my lip. I could feel the blood start to tickle down my face as he had busted my lip open. I brought my hand up to the cut while keeping his gaze. Marco came to a stop right next to Justin and gave me a disgusted look as well. "b***h! What have you done again now?!" Marco shouted angrily. Chasity whimpered and retreated again with our Alpha being mad at us. Before I could even try and explain, Claire, one of Marco's girls on his side gave me a sharp punch to the face, I could feel her breaking my nose at the impact. "You slut! You were most probably trying to w***e yourself out again! To a beta of all wolves!" She shouted as she kicked me in the stomach, making me fall to the ground. I had to try and take a few deep breaths to not cry. I wouldn't let them see me cry. They have been breaking me down every chance they got, but I was done with this. Yes ... a beta did reject me, but I won't give them the satisfaction of the entire situation anymore. I stood up and just gave her a glare before I spun on my heels, ready to walk away. I barely got three feet away before I felt a hand on my head, pulling me back to them by my hair. I fell to the ground again and saw that it was in fact Marco who had pulled me back and made me fall to the ground. "You do not dare disrespect one of the ranking members!" Marco shouted with so much hate and venom in his voice that I couldn't believe an alpha would treat one of their pack members like this. If only one of the elders knew about what they actually did to me, they would likely strip Marco of his title and take over the management of the pack. Marco and his groupies started to kick and punch me everywhere they got space. I felt a few ribs getting cracked from all the kicks. I think what hurt me the most, but it was also something that I was well and used to was the fact that my brothers were in on all of this. They were supposed to protect me, and yet, they were the main people who were constantly hurting me. My parents were likely staring from above and shaking their heads in pure disappointment. I looked up and saw Justin standing there, his arms crossed over his chest, as he just looked down at me with so much disgust painted across his face. That hurt, at least if he didn't want to be a decent mate, he could be a decent wolf and stop all of this madness. I was crying so hard with all the pain that was coursing through me. 'Hold on Doll! All of this will come to an end soon' I heard Chasity try to motivate me but I just couldn't hold on anymore. This was so painful and I don't know how much longer I would be able to take all of this. I finally managed to concede to the pain as my eyes slowly started to close and all sense of reality was starting to slip away slowly. I really hoped that whatever they planned to do with my unconscious body, they would make sure that I was never to awake from my slumber again. Maybe this was what the Moongoddess had planned for me. Maybe this was her way of getting me away from all the pain and suffering I was enduring. *** I woke up, being a few feet up in the air. This was confusing. Was this my heaven or was this my hell? I tried to lie still, maybe if whoever was carrying me, knew that I was starting to wake again, they would likely knock me out. I tried to close my eyes, trying to think of happy memories from when my parents were still alive. I knew four things for sure. The person who was carrying me was a guy, he was a wolf, he was most definitely shirtless and he had a rock-hard chest. Different scenarios started to run through my head. Where was he taking me? Did he want to throw me in the river and make sure that I wouldn't come back again? The guy came to an abrupt stop. I heard another voice talk, but I couldn't make anything of it. I didn't understand what they were saying. All I could hear were muffled sounds. All of a sudden, I was laid down on a soft surface and a person sat down next to me, from the feel of the material sinking in right next to me. I kept my eyes closed, hoping that at least Chasity would come back to me. Perhaps she would have been able to pick up on where we were. However, as always, I wouldn't have been so lucky. Chasity was silent ever since I started to wake up. I wondered if my brothers and everyone else who always took pride in beating me finally managed to take away one of the only two allies I ever had in my corner. I felt us starting to move. It was clear to me now that we were in a car or something like that. Maybe they wanted to go and dump me in a far away forest where the rogues would take care of me. I felt everything inside of me starting to go numb again. A white light clouded my vision and welcomed me with open arms as I felt myself starting to happily slip away again. I really hoped that this would be the end for me and that I would be able to be with my parents again, sitting down next to the Moongoddess and watch over the wolves down on the ground. Before I finally slipped away, I heard a voice speak to me as a hand caressed my face, "Hold on, little one, I promise I will do everything to help you. I just found you and I am not willing to lose you" the voice said as I finally managed to slip away back to the white, painless light where I knew I would be safe forever.
