Light prickled behind Aria’s closed lids, causing her to stir slightly before waking. She blinked her eyes blearily, trying to find her bearings. A light breeze passed over the clearing and suddenly she could remember where she’d been. She shoots up into a sitting position, eyes blown wide in slight panic.
“Easy,” Jihyun chuckles, still leaning against the car’s hood.
Aria turns to him, panic still written over her face, “It’s morning. I haven’t spoken to anyone since last night. They’re going to murder me.”
“If anything, I’m the one who’s dying. I kind of snuck you away,” he chuckles, looking unapologetic.
“Why did you let me fall asleep?” she groaned, burying her face in her hands and hoping a meteor would strike her so she wouldn’t have to face her family.
