(A week later.)
“You are ready, ma’am,” Annabella announced, and I dropped my phone on the table to see her handiwork.
“Nice,” I mumbled, standing up to admire myself in the mirror. “I never knew you could style hair so well.”
“I style my siblings’ hair a lot,” she giggled, and I just shrugged, genuinely impressed with her choice of selection for the last hearing at the court.
I was struck by the sleek and stylish piece she had chosen for me. The centerpiece was a striking black leather trench coat, its double-breasted design featuring a row of bold white buttons that added a modern touch. The coat fell elegantly to mid-calf, creating a commanding and confident silhouette.
