Chapter 2 - Was It Worth It?

                                                                                            Malik POV 

      I knocked , and Mercedes opened the door half naked. I turned around and she grabbed me. "Don't go I won't tell I just need some please" I contemplated and took the offer walking into her house. Back then me and Mercedes had a thing. I loved her, but she left when a nigga wasn't up and never came back. I sat on the couch and she struggled to get my member out. When she did she licked at it and I threw my head back. She always knew what to do to relive me of stress. She started sucking me and kept at it s**t felt good. I nutted and she swallowed then she got up and I followed her to her room. She got on the bed on all fours I got up behind her reaching in my back pocket for a condom. Putting on my magnum she was impatient. I slid in "s**t" She screamed throwing it back. I started pounding her s**t. "AH FUCK...DON'T STOP...DON'T STOP!" I slapped her ass she continued moaning and screaming "s**t" I said pulling off the rubber. 

  She turned around and pushed me back positioning herself on top of me she rode it. "f**k" she kept going and going. "s**t" I said throwing my head back. "I'm about to..." she said riding faster holding my head. I turned her over beating her s**t up. "AH s**t!" She screamed trying to get me off, but I didn't budge. I kept going until I nutted "s**t" was the last words I heard and then my phone going off. I got up, threw my clothes on and rushed home. I hopped in the shower and threw on some Navy Blue basketball shorts, a White T-shirt, and some white Nike slides. Damn I just f****d Mercedes!

                                                                                     Zaire's POV

  I hopped in the car to go pick up Amira . I had dropped her off at my moms house, because Dex had called. After getting Amira I strapped her in making sure she was safe, but I couldn't get Blessing out of my head. I needed to get over there. I'm supposed to be a shoulder to lean on and a person to call on and I'm not even there. Mira wont stop crying I'm starting to second guess this adopting thing. I drove over to Walmart to get her a few things. I got her a few outfits and then I went to pick up a pack and play. I got some more bottles , formula , pacifiers , diapers and a blanket then I checked out got my truck loaded and texted B.

                                                                                1/2 An Hour Later 

     I pulled up to Blessing house and honked the horn. She got in with a black sports bra, black shorts, white socks and her hair was straightened out. After putting on her seat-belt we drove to my place. I called Janice over to watch Mira. It was about 6 o'clock. Janice was someone I knew since a young-in she was like a baby sister to me. I called my dukes who I had gave some money to go shopping for Mira and she came over. I also called some people over to unload the stuff from her car. I laid  Mira in my bed and surrounded her with pillows. B sat next to her and played in her curls. "Shes so pretty" she said still watching her sleep. "Thank you" I said wondering who her parents were.

       Janice walked in and Blessing and I walked to where Mira's room would soon be. Now everything could be put together and put away. Blessing began putting the other poles to the closet in while I set up the Pack N Play. "So how was your day?" she asked adding clothes to the rails. "Hectic" I responded . "Tell me about it" She replied. I told her about my day. By the time I was finished we had most of the room put together. B finished putting her clothes away and all of her bathroom supplies. She put the sheet on the bed and the little pink mobile up.she folded the pink cover over the rails and positioned the pack n play in the corner. Over the crib read "A M I R A" In pink letters.

               I pulled the rug into the middle of the floor and pushed the changing table under the window on the opposite side of the room. After I hung up the black sheer curtains. We positioned everything else and by 6 PM we were finished. I walked Janice to her car and when I came in Blessing had helped me give Mira a sponge bath. Afterwards she moisturized her body, put her on a tank-top onesie and brushed her hair. I took a shower while Blessing fed her a bottle. When I got out Amira was sleeping in Blessings arms. I put Amira in the bassinet and went back and put cover on Blessing. I then went downstairs and fell asleep on the couch.

                                                                        A Whole Month Later...

                                                                               Zaire's POV 

      Me and Blessing have been doing just fine as friends. She's not trying to get in a relationship to quick and neither am I because, we both have bigger things to worry about right now. I do miss her though. She only comes around to see Amira or chill, but that's a once in a blue moon thing. A week ago Blessing and Amira went out and by the time they came back I was drunk. Me and Blessing had got into a argument about me and one of Janice's friends. I don't think it should've mattered though, because me and her not together. We only have two months left of school and I'm ready to graduate. I have big things planned. My alarm went off signaling for me to get up. I went ahead and got started with my day.

                                                                                     Blessing Pov 

  I woke up missing Zaire. I can't stand his spider monkey ass, but I deal with him anyways. We're not together, but it doesn't sound like a bad idea. He just got to many females that want him right now. I pushed the subject to the back of my mind and went to take a shower. Going to my closet I picked out what I was going to wear and laid it on my bed. I then went and ran my shower. After my shower, I went to my vanity to do my hair and makeup. I grabbed my phone and bag and walked downstairs. Malik sat on the couch with a sweat suit on taking pictures.

  "Where you fixing to go ?" I asked breaking him away from his phone. "No where" he said with a smirk. He got up with open arms. I gave him a hug. "I gotta go" I said laughing. He let me go and I walked out the door locking it up. When I turned around I saw Zaire's truck. I ran to it opening the back door and pulling Amira out. "Hey Toots ! I missed you so much ! Yes I did !" I said kissing her. She was all smiles. I strapped her back in and went to the drivers side . "Hey" I said dryly after seeing his face . He had a Kool-aid smile which turned to a frown when seen I didn't act as I did with Amira.

  "Why you got to be like that ?" He said looking into my eyes with guilt. " I don't know, ask Mercedes" I replied walking away. "Man get in the car" he yelled out the window. "And if I don't !"  I said walking to my car. "Please?"  I got in, he opened his phone it was a picture of me and Amira. He opened his messages then clicked Mercedes name then passed me the phone and you're damn right I read.

                                                                                Yesterday 4:00 AM

Mercedes - Hey , what are you doing ?

                                                                                                                   -Planning on chilling with Amira and Blessing.

Mercedes  - How about No ? Can we f**k ?

Mercedes -  Ughh , Really Zaire ? When Ever You Needed It I Was There Why Not Now ?

  We pulled up to Amira's god mom's house and he took her in so I went through the other messages.

              Damn, He f*****g a whole b***h I had no clue about. He isn't my man though so I'm going to continue to do me. At least I know now, I thought to myself as he walked out the house. I left the messages on the screen and locked the phone. "You good now ?" He asked me getting in. "Yeah" I replied looking at my nails which needed to be done. We pulled up to school and I got out walking to my first period. We got a packet to do by the next school day. I just sat there doing it. I knew Zaire didn't mind, because he was doing his to and I really didn't give a f**k if he did. I got to the third page and the bell had rung so I packed up my stuff and walked to second period. The day went by quick, After I met up with Kennedy and went to my house. I took a shower and then cleaned up and made snacks. We then went in the living room and began watching reruns of Love and Hip Hop.

      "Damn b***h, you ain't said a word yet ."  Kennedy said breaking me from my thoughts. "What you thinking about ?" She asked digging her hand in a bowl of chips. "Zaire" I replied. Kennedy was the type of best friend that wanted the best for me. She always understood the things I went through and vise verse for her. "Continue"  she said stuttering. "You're in his phone and he's f*****g his brother?" She asked confused and with that there was a knock at the door. I got up to answer and it was Zaire and Amira. "Yes ?" I asked with a questionable look eating my cookie. "We need to talk" I opened the door wider and he came in sitting the car seat on the floor. "Wassup Kennedy" he said making his presence known. "Hey" she said not taking her eyes off the television. I laid down and pulled the covers over my head as Zaire walked in. "What's wrong ?" He said pulling the cover off of me.  I got up to use the bathroom and he pushed me back down. "I said what's wrong with you Blessing" he repeated.

                                                                                        Zaire's POV

  "If this isn't something you want to get serious about, then why set it off ?"  As those words slipped out of her mouth I thought to myself damn I f****d up."Hello ?! Cat got your tongue ?" she asked snapping her fingers . "Nah" I replied. "I just had s*x with somebody else", "So why are you here wasting my time ?" She asked curiously. "To say goodbye, I guess . Since you know everything" I replied catching her drift. "Okay , Goodbye" she responded . And with that I left out.
