It was hard avoiding the stares as I walked down the hallway. Brent popping out of thin air was stirring up the gossip mill, and people began taking any little information given and running with it. A day hadn't even passed and I heard every rumor under the sun. The one that was resonating frequently was how I had been working with the police to set Brent up for selling drugs to minors because I was jealous. It was crazy how involved everyone was regarding the situation when none of them knew the whole truth. They probably wouldn't believe the truth if it hit them in the face.
I overheard that Brent was enrolling as a senior but would be taking a few junior classes since he never received the credits he needed to pass on. The junior classes were on a different hallway than the seniors, so
