I grinned, unwillingly enjoying the tantalising tale of mystery and deceit. As an assassin I had spent most of my life in the shadows, I enjoyed trying to pry other's out of them. "This story begins with three different species, as present and powerful as each other on this planet: The wolfen, the man and the faeries. Each corresponds to the species we have today, but none are the same. The wolfen had one form, that of a large wolf, but had the same level of intelligence as the other two species, able to talk and learn as much as anyone else. The man, the humans, were strong, slower and without what we would deem unusual capabilities, but great minds, almost completely immune from illness and very adaptable.
