Shane growled low in his throat, startling his Beta.
"Sir? Is everything okay?" Asked James, worried at the sudden outburst.
"I felt her, for a split moment, I felt her."
"Isn't that good Sir? Maybe she'll come back willingly...?"
"No!" He barked. "It was not a good thing you i***t! She was in pain and scared. It was a call for help!" James took a step back, putting himself out of arms reach if his Alpha suddenly lost control of his wolf. Shane's chest heaved with worry, pent up fury and frustration with much of it being aimed internally. This was his entire fault. "Keep up the attacks. We will get her out."
