Old man's request

Chapter 18: Old man's request I left my suite earlier than usual and headed to my office, sorting through a few documents before Maeron arrived. He was the Alpha of Silvercrust Pack. His father had stepped down, but the old man still held a seat on the council court. If I succeeded in forming this alliance, I’d stand a better chance at claiming a seat myself. And legitimizing my pack. Something I’d been denied for years because of my rogue past. They called me Alpha, sure. But to most packs and council lords, I was still a warlord. A rogue dressed up in Alpha skin. A killer with a pack of misfits too wild to tame. I didn’t care how a bunch of crusty old wolves saw me. But I cared about my people. My pack. They deserved live to freely—like every other wolves. Especially when I'm gone.
