Chapter 14: Strange emotions
VIKTOR'S POV
I walked to the balcony, waiting until she’d stepped into the room before I turned and made my way down the stairs.
There was something strange about her—something that made Corbin’s words echo in my head again: Our mate might be close. I frowned, thinking deep.
There was no way it was her. I would known, I would’ve felt the bond from the very moment I set eyes on her.
But why did I keep feeling this strange pull? I hadn’t even realized I was touching her lips until I did... and the soft gasp she gave?
God... It stirred something primal in me; a strange hunger. I kept thinking about how her lips might feel, or taste.
