Faithful Diary,
I made every attempt to set this journal on the shelf without bringing my tale to a close. Barry suggested I put the old house out of my mind as soon as I moved in with him. Elle made the point that I ought to complete my story in an attempt to achieve closure on the matter. I trust her, and clearly I agree, because here I am, taking her advice.
Since moving into Barry's place, I have not set foot in the succubus house.
At first, I thought I would never make the seven days Barry said it took him to feel ready to move on. I returned to work immediately, in part because I did not feel entirely at home in Barry's house. It made sense to be somewhere familiar and safe. Additionally, it was important to me to be able to pay rent to Barry.
