Healer and Wolf Spirit

Our ray of light

After breakfast, Giselle was lying on the wooden floor looking at the ceiling aimlessly not knowing what to do next. John left with his father for a meeting with another pack therefore she had no fear that he will come to meet her. What's the point in meeting him when she knew that he was not going to spend his last few with her.

"Now that you have so much free time on your hand, why don't you go and bring me some herbs from the waterfall."

She lifted her head and looked at her teacher who put a wooden basket in the table with was covered with a silk cloth and she instantly knew what kind of herbs he wanted. This basket meant that she had to spend hours just to find few herbs.

"T e a c h e r..." She whined as she sat up but Zayn gave her a paper.

"Try to find all of these. Last time you only brought two of these."

"But these are too hard to find. I think they have already gone extinct." She whined and blinked her eyes asking her teacher to have some pity on her but Zayn turned and left indicating that she should do her best. He actually wanted her to go there so she could have some time to make a decision about the situation she was in.

Seeing that she had no other choice, Giselle got up and picked the basket. The waterfall was already at one hour distance from the pack. The place was a little dangerous and no one goes there even though it was the most beautiful place she ever saw.

She was eight years old when Zayn took her there and she was enchanted by it's beauty. It's said that this place belonged to the wolf spirit and only healers were allowed to go there to get the herbs. There was one special herb that used to grow there but since the wolf spirit left it also became extinct.

Giselle walked through the forest and one hour later she could see the water fall.

She picked the white paper and quickly start searching for the herbs on the list but the herbs there were very hard to search.

After searching for half an hour, she finally found one of the herb. The snake flower. It did not look like a snake but the name was given because it can be used as a poison as well as a cure to any disease.

She sat down and bring the small wooden tool to dig out the little plant because if she damaged it a little bit than the teacher was going to damage her ears with his lecture.

"Teacher must be very happy to see it."

"Oi my lost cow. Finally I found you."

Giselle who was happily and carefully digging the soil, froze at her place. The voice and the rare insult, of course she knew who that person was.

Due to her current problem she forgot about this problem.

"Don't look up. Act like you did not hear anything." She slowly kept doing whatever she was doing while Hyun was irritated and walked towards her.

"Oi deaf cow."

He called her but she was not responding him making him confused if she was actually gone deaf or.... may be she could not see him. Wait a minute, but he was not invisible right now, was he?

Hyun double checked himself and was sure that he was not invisible.

He stood next to her while Giselle's eyes fell on the shoes that he was wearing. They were more expensive than her life.

Confused she lifted her head and instantly her jaw hit the ground.

He was wearing a black pants with a white t shirt and she knew it was not something ordinary.

Right now he looked like a model ready for walked on the ramp with his casual look.

She had a question on her mind. How he changed from what she saw last night to this?

Hyun sat down and smiled and Giselle melted instantly. How can someone be so gorgeous?

"You know I gained a lot of information. You people really progressed a lot in these years. Actually I am quite impressed with everything. Especially that thing where you can see live books. But I still have a question, how these people enter in these small books."

He rubbed his chin as he asked her while Giselle was confused. What books? What people?

"What?..."

She stared at him but realized that she made a mistake so instead she looked behind him.

"...Is this herb? Does teacher needs it?"

She slowly crawled away from him and picked a wild herb while Hyun scoffed and got up.

"I know you can see me."

"No, I don't." Giselle reminded herself.

"This is useless." Hyun told her as it was just a useless wild herb but this was going to save Giselle so she smiled and lovingly touched the herb.

"Teacher was asking me to find this one. I think I should go back now."

She put it in her basket and was about to got up when Hyun stood in front of her with a deep thought in his eyes. Giselle's acting felt so real that he could only feel confused on her action.

Now Giselle could not stand up so she looked around and found another wild herb. But it was not a wild herb so she quickly opened the page and read the names of the herbs written on it and a smile appeared on her lips as she found two herbs in such short time. May be her day was not that bad today.

"So, you can not see me." She heard his voice and then she heard a whoosh sound. The sound was strange as she heard it before. The next second a cold metal touched her chin and her eyes went wide realizing that the thing that just touched her chin was actually a sword.
