I bowed a little and adjusted the facemask I was wearing. God, please I hope he doesn't see me. If he can recognize me, my life will be ruined.

I swallowed before I spoke. "I will go now." I took the things I used then I bowed slightly.

"Wait..." I felt Rare's hand touch my shoulder so I suddenly froze where I was standing.

"P-what?" I tried not to stutter but I failed. Ugh self, why don't you know how to act? You'll get caught in what you're doing, eh?

"New?" His voice was very cold and very deep. Why do men like that listen? Oh d-mn.

"N-no."

"Oh, I see." he removed his hand from my shoulder. I immediately left that place. D-mn. My heart is beating fast! That's almost it!

As I was walking away from that room, I saw Nurse Jaycee, the nurse who would replace me, so my heart was lifted.

Thank you, Lord, and I can go home.

I looked at my wristwatch and it was 6:15. It's good that Jaycee is early today. I'm thankful!

"Hey, Jaycee! How is your morning? Haha." I congratulate him happily.

"Yes, just recovering, last time I was always late. Oh, are you going to take that to the laboratory?" he asked pointing to what I was carrying.

"Ah, yes." I nodded and said.

"Oh come on, I'll bring it. Go out now. You're tired." he smiled at me while still shaking his head.

I was even happier because of what he said."Hala, thank you!" I am thankful because God seems to have heard my request.

"No problem!" He took the tray I was holding and walked away from me.

I breathed a sigh of relief because I could go home, I could rest where there was no Rare thought.

I immediately went to the staff room. to get my things and then I went to the nurse station to log out.

While I was going there, I met Kristan who had just come out of the elevator.

"Oh baby Ath, are you home?" it's a snarky question. He is obviously very tired but he still looks handsome. Well, that's my best friend.

"Yes, what time are you out?" I will ask.

"It's 7:30 later, I just finished my surgery." he made a sound with his hand that was open.

"Yes, I heard that it was successful again, congratulations doc, treat yourself to that." I'm still joking here, then he slapped his arm.

"Thanks, Baby, oh okay. When are you available?" it laughed and said. He used to call me Baby. There is no malice because he is my boy's best friend.

"Tomorrow. Oh well, I'm leaving now. I'll take measurements for clothes. Tomorrow will be a little late." I kissed him on the cheeks and immediately left him there.

I hurried straight to the Nurse Station and immediately logged out

I went straight to the parking lot to get my car.

I got on board and the time went by fast, I've been driving to the boutique for a few minutes now to get measured for a dress for Akisha's party.

In the middle of my drive, my phone suddenly rang.

I put on the earphones connected to my phone before answering the call from my friend.

"Hello?"

[Ath? How about your return to work? Have you seen him? ]

I got out of my car to enter here inside the hotel Venue. Today is the day of Akisha's birthday even though it is against my heart to attend I have no choice.

I looked at the clock, It was already 8:20 pm. The party started at 7:30 a.m. and I just arrived there. I'm late but I don't care, they even thanked me for coming to their party.

"Hey, Charl called you. You're going to make an announcement." I said coldly. He smiled bitterly then nodded then he went back to their table. I rolled my eyes as I looked back at Mikee and Prince.

"You're so mean Ath. You should have hugged him after all it's his birthday." frowned when Mikee said.

"Nah, I don't want to. She's plastic and I'm hot, she might even burn today, it's her birthday." shaking my head and smiling, I said.

"Still Ath? You still haven't forgiven, Sister?" Prince asked, making me laugh sarcastically.

"Nah, I already forgive her. It's been a long time but I can't bring back our old friendship." I said bitterly and shrugged my shoulders.

He caused me pain as well as Charl.

"Ladies and Gentleman. It's time for us to know the announcement of Mrs. And Mr. Aquian! Once again let's welcome the birthday lady and her husband, and give them a round of applause."

I didn't pay attention to what was said because it was just boring. "Kee, have you eaten yet?" I asked.

"Yes a while ago," answered Kee who was now looking at the stage where I was.

"I want tempura, pasta, and red wine please hurry because I'm hungry," I said loudly while yawning that this party is getting sleepy.

"Where's your restroom? Please assist me." I said. I held my mouth to stop my vomit from coming out. Some people looked at me but I ignored it and hurried to walk.

"Ma'am here." the waiter showed me the way to the restroom so I almost ran to it because it was about to explode but suddenly someone hit me so I sat down and bowed. I couldn't stop myself and I vomited in front of it.

"What the hell, are you ok Miss?" It was as if my stomach wanted to vomit suddenly when I heard that familiar voice. F-ck no! Rare is. It's Rare's voice.

I bent down and found time to run away from there. And when I found myself, I pushed him and ran away.

"Hey miss!" I hurriedly ran and when I spotted the woman's restroom, I immediately entered it. I was panting as I locked the restroom door.

I stared at the mirror for more than 20 minutes before someone knocked on the door.

"Hey, Ath?" I heard a call from outside the restroom.

"Open this door, Ath."

"Really? Thank you, Ma'am. Alright, they're waiting for you there." I nodded at him. He walked away, and then Mikee and I looked at each other.

"Oh, what? Are you coming back?" it asked.

"Yes, just a moment. Let's go." We hurriedly walked back to the Party.

I looked around and fortunately, I didn't see any Rare so I breathed a sigh of relief, the nervousness I felt disappeared.

We went straight to our table, where my phone and bag were placed so that I could leave later.

"Well, how are you? Are you okay? By the way, your sister was looking for you here earlier." Prince greeted us.

"I'm fine. All right, all right."

"Ye----." Prince was interrupted when someone suddenly called me.

"Atarah!" I turned to the caller. Akisha, I just got tired and shook my head. After all, it's his birthday when I give him a present.

"Just wait. I'll just go to ." I made a face when I approached 's place.

"I told you to go home," he said bitterly so I gave him a cold look.

"Actually on the way home," I said coldly.

"Hurry up. Have you eaten yet?"

"So, she's Atarah?" I froze where I was standing when I heard that voice behind me.

Oh no. Maybe not, I'm just wrong. It's not him. Not allowed.

"Ahm, Yes. She's my sister." 's smiling manner made me swallow and I couldn't face her.

"Hey Atarah, nice meeting you..." I still didn't move and I felt like I was running out of breath.

"Uh, hey? Are you ok?" remembered when she noticed my reaction.

I just nodded and slowly turned behind me."S-shit." I stuttered when I saw the man's full face.

It's Rare.

It's smiling, And looking directly at me with eyes as if to say something. 'Hey, remember me?'

"Hey, Ath." I looked away from Rare and turned to them.

"Ahm, Yes. Ah, nice meeting you too Rare." I extended my hand and shook hands with him but it was not obvious. I just have to pretend I don't know him.

I was startled when his hand touched mine. What the hell!

"You know him Ath?" asked in surprise.

Sh-t, I got caught there! Why did I say his name? Where is the one I said I would act? Eh, I suddenly mentioned his name.

"Of course, She knows me. Very--very much.." Rare said with a smile and his jaw suddenly moved.

I just want to burry myself on the ground, I have nothing to lose now. How is it?
