Elena's POV I opened my eyes. Wait, wait, was this heaven? I touched my chest to check whether my heart was still beating. I still breathed, and my heart still chimes. "I'm alive." It takes a while for my eyes to adjust to the brightness. Once they did, I looked around. Everything seemed so real... and familiar yet strange at the same time. "Where am I?" I noticed that I was lying down on my back on a white carpet. The room was decorated beautifully. A soft breeze brushed past my face lightly as I sat up slightly. I glanced around and realized that the room was filled with beautiful flowers. Hundreds of candles were scattered on the table near the couch I lay on, illuminating the entire room. I glanced around me in astonishment. What exactly had happened to me? After a while, I finally managed to pull myself together to sit on the couch. But suddenly, everything seemed to be spinning, and I felt dizzy. I gripped my forehead to prevent myself from fainting again. I scanned my surroundings, and I saw there was a glass window in front of me that led out of this large room. I walked towards the window. I was stunned to realize I was in the middle of a modern city full of the hustle and bustle. I was captivated by the beautiful scene before me. "This must be a dream...." I whispered under my breath. Slowly, I pushed open the door beside the large window and stepped out of the room carefully. It turned out to be a balcony. The night sky above me was beautiful and filled with thousands of stars. I walked to the edge of the balcony to see the city below. I gasped in disbelief. "I can't believe I'm in this place," I saw cars speeding down the street and people rushing from place to place on the sidewalk, and I could hear the noise of the horns shouting out. For the past fifteen years, I've been cooped up in the forest with Radolf's pack. I have never touched the world outside since then. Radolf never allowed me to see the world the way his children do. I heard footsteps, so I quickly turned around. A man stood before me in a black suit, and his hair glistened against the night sky. "It turns out that you've woken up," he murmured in a cold flat tone. I was stunned to see him—a man with striking good looks that hypnotized me. I could not even describe his beautiful look to myself in words. I felt the heat of his eyes when he glanced into mine, and I could see the power and confidence in his every movement. He had a robust and muscular jawline and deep cold dark eyes. I might get lost if I stare at them for too long. "Why are you looking at me like that?" He had a hint of pain in his eyes, which disappeared as quickly as it emerged. "Who are you?" I asked. "Your mate," he said. "Don't joke around 'cause you don't look like a wolf." Those cold, piercing eyes looked at me angrily. "What did you say?!" There was no trace of warmth on his face. The intonation of her voice made it clear that he was deeply offended by my utterances. He pulled my collar roughly. "Don't say that nonsense again. Who do you think saved you from Radolf?!" "I'm sorry, I didn't mean it," I said in a low voice. He released his grip and took a few steps back, maintaining a safe distance from me. "Can you tell me where I am?" I continued, trying not to give away the fact that I was feeling so frightened. "This is our home, and you are my luna." "Luna?" "Yes." He nodded. "Come with me," he pleaded. I followed him. “Are you ready to go upstairs now?” "Upstairs?" I was perplexed. I was still confused by everything that was happening to me. "Can't you just shut up and follow me?" His tone was heartlessly cold to me. His hands went to my shoulders and pushed me forward. His grip tightened as he led me away. The man's voice was deep and husky. "This way," he said in a commanding manner. I followed him obediently, but my mind was racing, wondering where I was and who he was. In just a few seconds, we were already upstairs. When we entered the room upstairs, I gasped at its beauty. The room was a bedroom decorated in a modern white design. I noticed there were four windows on each wall, and there was a king-sized bed with a luxurious feather duvet, a dressing table with a mirror in one corner, and a closet. Many expensive-looking paintings were hanging on the walls. But there was one picture that was different from the rest. In it, I recognized myself and the man next to me. In a wedding dress?! What? When did that happen? And when did this happen? But why did I look so beautiful in that painting? Why aren't there any horrible burn marks on my face?! "Sit on the bed," he ordered. I obeyed and looked at him expectantly while I waited for him to finish speaking. His expression was so damn intimidating. He then sat at the end of the bed facing me. "Who are you?" I repeated my previous question. "My name is Grey Jasper Velixus." He answered calmly but still as cold as ice. He looked at me intensely. It was almost chilling how he looked at me with her Mahogany-colored irises. He was so calm as if his eyes were conveying something. That man looked hesitant and didn't immediately continue his explanation. "Why did you bring me here?" I asked him. "I-" Just as he was about to speak, his cell phone suddenly rang. He grabbed his phone and answered it, putting it to his ear. "Good evening," he greeted. I thought I heard someone's voice in the background. "Yes," Grey replied. "But they didn't tell me about this, all right if that's what they want. I'll be there in two hours or less. I'll explain everything to them." And he hung up. He put the phone on the nightstand, stood up, and walked towards me. Without warning, he put both his arms around my waist and lifted me quickly "Put me down! Let go of me!" I screamed, struggling to break free. My eyes widened in fear. He was so strong. So strength! He carried me out of the bedroom. I screamed again, and I kicked my legs in the air. "Let go of me!" And... Bugh! As soon as I kicked the thing between his legs, his expression instantly changed. He dropped me unceremoniously to the ground, and he held his crotch. "Stupid girl! I just want to take you to the bathroom. You smell so bad!" He growled in frustration. "You should have brought a bottle of water with you! You smell worse than a dead wolf!" He added angrily. "Wait," I stopped him immediately. "You just said that you're my alpha? Are you sure about what you said?" "Yes, you heard me right. I am your Alpha," he said bluntly. "Now go and take a shower. You look like a pig." He started to walk away, but I ran after him. He suddenly stopped and looked at me angrily. "Liar!" I yelled at him because I couldn't believe what he said. "Follow me!" He growled and started walking again. "Don't try to escape, or I'll kill you!" I rushed after him. He led me to another room that had a large bathtub in it. The bathtub was huge and had jets at both ends. He pushed me roughly into the water bath that had been filled with warm water. I started shivering uncontrollably, and I struggled to get out again. "What are you doing? Do you want to kill me?" I shouted. He ignored me and took a nearby towel from the closet, placing it in front of me. "Hurry up and clean yourself up. Now. Don't make me repeat myself," he warned menacingly. I was too scared to disobey him and remained silent. "That's more like it," He muttered contentedly. I stepped out of the bathtub and wrapped the towel tightly around my body. "Here," he handed me some new clothes, "put these on." But he didn't look at me. He turned his face away. "Where do you want to take me?" I asked, confused. "Don't ask too many questions, just follow my orders!" I swallowed my saliva with difficulty as I was scared by his bluff. "Hurry up!" He screamed. "I can't change in front of you," I said in a low voice. I saw how Grey sighed irritably. Without saying another word, he left the bathroom, closing the door behind him. I quickly put on the black dress he had given me just now. I quickly ran to the mirror to look at my face. I gasped when I saw my reflection in the mirror. "This can't be." "How could this be possible?" My face became beautiful again. The horrible burn marks disappeared without a trace. But who did this? Who has this ability?
