Epi. 16 - He is my boyfriend

1008 Words
Alex narrowed his eyes. He didn't need to turn around to know that quite a few people had run out to sneak a peek. When they heard his wife was looking for him, everyone around was shocked and curious about what was going on. If he were to show affection towards Jenny at this moment, wouldn't it confirm that she was indeed his wife? "No, not in public. You're shameless, and I still have some dignity," he made up an excuse to refuse. Jenny was annoyed. This guy didn't listen to her. Pouting, she complained, "Alex, you've changed! You weren't like this before. Whatever I asked you to do, you wouldn't refuse. Now, because of some other girl, you don't care about me anymore? Fine, after all these years of relationship, it's over." Before, even though he often said no to her requests, he would secretly do what she asked. So seeing him like this now, not caring about her feelings, made her very uncomfortable, like there was a stone blocking her chest. "I hate you!" Jenny's eyes welled up with tears, and she turned to leave. Alex sighed, reached out to grab her, and pulled her into his arms. After hugging her tightly, he said helplessly, "Is this enough? I can't deal with you! Is it fun for you to play these pranks? I'll have to explain to my girlfriend later, it's annoying, you know?" Jenny leaned against his chest. A boy's embrace felt different—warm and solid. She snorted softly and said, "Do you care so much about your girlfriend? At least now I'm your fiancée. What's wrong with pampering me a little?" She hadn't done anything wrong. She was his wife after all. What's the problem with finding him to chat and hug a bit? "You know I hate explaining things. I'm annoyed by that!" Alex said, displeased. Jenny lifted her head and grinned mischievously, "You don't have to explain. I heard you change girlfriends frequently. In a few days, it won't be her anymore. What's there to explain?" Alex thought for a moment, seemingly swayed by her words, but he wasn't sure what he was thinking. He ruffled her hair, messing it up, and said, "Okay, hug's done. Go back to your class now. I'll find you for lunch later." "No, I won't have lunch with you. I met a handsome guy today! I'm going to have lunch with him later." Jenny left his embrace, looking proud as if she had used him and was now discarding him. Alex narrowed his eyes and asked, "A handsome guy? The most handsome guy in the whole school is standing right in front of you. You won't have lunch with me but with another guy?" "Oh, getting jealous?" Jenny teased deliberately. "Why would I be jealous? I just think you have bad taste." Alex seemed annoyed, his beautiful eyes glaring at her. He was also thinking more about who the handsome guy she met was. Jenny glanced behind him, confirming that the girl was getting angry, then smirked, tapping his chest with her hand and deliberately using her fingers to lift his chin, saying mischievously, "I won't have lunch with you now. I'll reward you tonight. Bye!" With that, she bounced away. The next class was American geography, which was basically a hypnotic session for Jenny. She kept nodding off, her hand supporting her chin, her head bobbing as if she was about to fall asleep any moment. In contrast, Yu, sitting in front of her, was quite serious during class and even got called upon by the teacher to answer questions. Finally, after enduring until the end of class, Jenny stretched lazily. "Oh, sleeping in class is so uncomfortable... I wonder if I can get a pillow. My neck feels like it's going to twist," she said, her hands supporting her neck, twisting left and right to stretch her muscles. Yu turned around to look at her, a bit amused. "Do you know how well you slept just now? I almost caught your sleepiness." Leaning on the desk, Jenny stood up and said, "Finally, school's out! I'm so hungry... Let's go eat. Where's the cafeteria? Is the food good?" "Sleeping well means eating well, Jenny. Did you skip meals for days?" Yu teased her. They had been chatting all morning and were now quite familiar, like friends. "You're the one who skipped meals! It's lunchtime already, of course we have to eat. Don't you eat? Hurry up and take me to the cafeteria. It's your treat." Jenny became less polite after getting along with someone. And she already knew that Yu was from a wealthy family. Treating her to a meal wouldn't cost him much. "Alright, alright, my treat. Our school has several cafeterias, some ordinary ones and some luxurious ones. We usually go to the deluxe one. Let me take you there and recommend some good dishes for you." Yu tidied up the things on the table and stood up. Jenny suddenly exclaimed, "Oh no! I forgot, I still have to go find someone!" "Who are you looking for?" Before Yu could finish asking, Jenny grabbed him and ran out of the classroom. "Let's go, let's go! You're more familiar with the school. Where's the Department of Mathematics? I need to find Eso." Yu couldn't help but look at their intertwined hands with a subtle expression. He asked, "Why do you need to go to the Department of Mathematics? Do you know someone there?" "Yeah, why else would I go there? Are you stupid?" Jenny grinned mischievously. Yu paused, looking at her curiously. "Department of Mathematics, huh? I know it, but who are you looking for?" Jenny smiled coyly. "His name is Eso. Do you know him?" She was also curious if Eso was really that famous at school. Sure enough, Yu's expression showed surprise, and he exclaimed, "Eso? The person you're looking for is him?! What's your relationship with him?" Jenny chuckled mischievously, "I told him he's my boyfriend. Do you believe that?"
